Yep, we are building ours on wedding window and like mauraw said, buy your own domain and try not to pay more than 10.00/yr. (bought ours for 6.00/yr)for it, that way you own it when your wedding window contract expires.
  2. A very special welcome4.gif from another future costa rica bride. Please take lots of pictures.

When you say green, do you mean a green colored dress or green as in made from eco friendly material? Either way, I think that would be unique. Are you having BM's. If so, what color will they wear? I watched the martha stewart show when she had two designers (famous, but I can't think of their names right now) who did a 'something' graduated light blue dress. You could barely see the blue. The show is probably still in reruns on the the FLN channel.

I would suggest that if you have BM's, that your dress is distinct enough so that no one thinks your one of the bm's coming down the aisle.

  3. Thank you for your review, it's so helpful. And your dress....well it was the perfect destination dress.

Working on making my destination wedding in Guanacaste area of Costa Rica. And I have a few (well, a lot ) of questions.

You mentioned how much the photographer cost. Do you mind giving out the videographer's price?

Did you ever get the DVD back? Did it turn out like you thought it would?

How many photographs did you get in the photographer's package?

    Were his pictures digital?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

  4. Welcome. I can't offer any insight on the location or vendors, but the other post are definetly correct. You can find great ideas in the invitation forum on your save the dates.

If you are crafty, I would suggest enlisting your crafty friends to help out. To save time I used already folded cards from my local paper source in Chicago, but there are a lot of paper places online. After I had bought a stamp for the front of the passport, a friend told me that she had a monogram stamp made for her personal stationary at a store like office depot or staples (but I think it takes a week to get). So you could buy a stamp (maybe linked hearts)at a craft store. Then stamp the front and emboss it to raise the stamp. For the words like 'passport', I bought a clear stamp with a set of Martha Stewart letters. If you don't know how to emboss they will show you how at a scrapbooking store...but be warned it's addictive. I will try to post mine, but until I figure that out, there are great ones to be inspired by on the forums. Good Luck, you can do it.

  5. My friend got married in Miami at a hotel on the beach and they had the wedding out by the pool ( I can't remember the hotel but it's part of the Marriott chain) and it's farther down the beach. As for PR, I liked it but it reminds me of Miami, I stayed at the Sheraton? near the area where the cruise ships port and there was just so much going on. A club right outside our balcony, great if you want to hear music but we had just left there because we were tired and wanted to go to sleep. The good thing is no passport is required. I would suggest maybe looking at hotels that aren't that close to the ports if you are looking for something more relaxing. Hope my rambling helps.

  6. welcome4.gif I was trying to decide between Punta Cana and Costa Rica (two places I haven't been). We were leaning toward Dreamsand then I saw some pics of a new resort someone posted on here. I think it was Eden H. It looked pretty cool and contemporary. I think my guest would have liked it. I'm not sure of the prices, though. Sorry, probably added to your research/stresssmile123.gif
  7. Welcome, this board is full of useful information. It may take a while, but you've come to the right place. I'm doing an all inclusive with options for guest to choose other hotels. Sometimes when booking packages the airline/hotel will throw in a free wedding. We were going to use Nwest but we have a travel agent that got better pricing for our guest and they can call her with questions :-).

  8. Hello all:

Came across this site while searching possible wedding destinations... and well I think I overloaded on tripadvisor. Just when I think I want to go to Costa Rica I see that most people here loved Cabo. Are there any hotels(beach fronts) in Cabo where you can swim in the ocean? I read on another post that they were able to swim at the Hilton? FH only request was that he be able swim in the ocean.

This site is full of post so it looks like I have a lot of reading to do... Arrgh

    Thanks,
