  1. welcome4.gif Have fun planning. I was considering St. Lucia also. Everything there looks beautiful. Some wedding coordinators sent me info. You can PM me if you want me to forward it.
  2. welcome3.gif Steph. Sorry can't offer any suggestions on the resorts, having the same problem. I finally had to stop looking at the reviews on tripadvisor. Good luck, atleast you have more time than me...March 2009. I'm still trying to find a resort for this yearsad.gif
  3. Did you look at the one on target.com. They have an ivory (and white) one for I think...16.99. I was thinking of ordering that to see what the quality looks/feels like. I will check other threads, but if anybody has ordered this one, would love to know how they like ithijacked.gif

    BTW...Love your dress

  4. S2BLennon,

I just looked at your photos. Thanks. The Marriott looks great. Do you know if St. Thomas has any great excursions? Everything I have read about St. Thomas makes it seem like getting around the island to explore it is expensive (taxis, car rental). You mentioned a $6 water taxi. Is that one way, just from the cruise ship to the shopping district?

I'm sooo addicted. It's the only one fiance would watch...because it was Mackinac. There is a NEW episode tonight. I already set the dvr.smile123.gif

I'll have to have fiance look for these when he gets back in town. I didn't even thinks about that. How much were they originally?

And yes, they are going out of businessin MI (per the manager only the MI stores right now). I can't understand why either. FI calls it pier one with food and clothes.
  7. They are having a 30-60% off sale on all most everything except...wine/ liquorfriday.gif. Some of the glass vases were still only 10% off, but votives were 40% off this weekend.

Not sure if other stores are going out of business. The one by me (IL) just opened and is doing well, so I lucked up while in MI and got a few candles and votives. Wine glasses were still kind of pricey.

So you MI BDW's may be able to find items for OOT bags/reception. I am sure that as it it gets closer to the actual close date they should have great prices. You might just have to keep checking the inventory. Good Luck.

  8. Why not consider Chicagopinkie.gif We have tons of free festivals in our parks. The lakefront is free. World-class architecture and restaurants. Lakeshore drive from downtown to the No. Shore (from movie 'When Harry met Sally)There is Navy Pier (touristy I know but fun the first time you go) I can't guarantee that it wont be hot, but it's Chicago so if its hot one day it could be beautiful the next.

I like Maine and the Vineyard (not just because I got engaged there) and love Traverse City, MI (got really nice wines there).
