Quick question:

Ladies who booked rooms at DT (group booking) & used Apple Vacations....

What were you credited once you had your final bookings confirmed. i mean like, for 20 rooms booked, you & your FI are credited a amount toward your stay? We've booked 30 rooms at DT & our TA just finally came back with what we'll be credited & she is now saying it is only for 1 guest, so were credited $654.00. That's it I don't mean to be rude, but I was thinking it would be more for booking 30 rooms & I guess I need to go back through our original paperwork to see if it matches up to what we were told. They had made it seem like if we booked 25+ rooms that my FI & I's room would basically be covered due to the COMP we would recieve?

Am i just brain-dead today or is the similar to what you girls are recieving?

I agree with all the ladies above..seems with economy & all right now we are all dealing with people not coming to our DW's...but we've had people cancel last minute, even this week & we leave in almost 20+ days! As well as, we've had tons of family complain & now decide not to come to the wedding due to costs or previous vacation plans. At first I was so upset, but then I am reminded that this was my & my FI decision to go & have a DW and we knew people wouldn't be able to make it. All that really matters is that you & your FI are there looking into eachothers eyes...don't let the people not coming affect how you remember this day. And...whoever WANTS to be there, will be there!

I guess that brings me to another question....what size did you end up getting in your parasols?? Like from Lunabazaar.com i see there are the 20 inch, 28 inch, & larger 32 inch? I don't want them to be teeny-tiny, but also don't want them to be gigantic! hahahaha

As my packing list gets larger & larger and my suitcases seem smaller & smaller, I am wondering if you guys actually packed your parasols or how you got them down to your DW? I just ordered mine, so i'm not sure the exact size yet, but seems that they are going to be tough to pack & haul down there

How long did your ladies alterations take on your dresses? I just picked mine up from the bridal store yesterday, so gotta get in to get that done. Did you take it to the seamstress your bridal store recommened or works with or did you guys use someone else? I'm just afraid of going to a random one (tho I got my dress from city 2 hours away so would like to not have to drive back there for alterations) & if they aren't familiar with the designer of my dress, you think there could be issues with my alterations?

Also, you know what sucks! The dress was little big when we ordered it & now when I went to pick up & try on, now it freakin fits..even little snug! WTF!!! I've been working out trying to LOSE weight for wedding & looks like I've gained! ERRRRRRRRRRRRR

I also had my shower/bachelorette this weekend, so I'll post pics tonight. we did them back to back since all my family flew in so figured do it at once so they could be apart of it! Turned out nice & the party bus/bachelorette part was crazy!!!

So I am thinking of doing the whole basket of flip-flops (like from old navy) in a basket at the wedding for guests to grab, but wondering did people really use/wear them or was this something you'd not do if you could re-do it? I'm just getting a bunch of random sizes for everyone to grab, but wondering if its a waste or if people really liked them & used them during ceremony or after at reception..or did they already have their own shoes or stayed barefoot?

Just trying to save $ where I can, but like the idea if it's worth it?

So i've seen some brides have some straw-like fedoras for the guys at the reception or on a table after wedding ends & would like to get some, but few i've asked have purchased them from street vendors in LA or somewhere & we just don't have that in Denver Can anyone help tell me or recommend possible where else I can get some? Or do you think I could find them on Mexico once were down there?
