I think you made the right decision by following your gut and having your sister help in some other way. Also, I don't think she has any right to give you attitude since she originally backed out! -
These are awesome! I agree, they are a bit pricey. I would be afraid that I wouldn't be able to wrap the dresses to get them to look like they do in the photos. What a great idea though!

I think (I'm a hair stylist) you look beautiful! The hairstyle is never too simple if you still feel like yourself. Which is smart-you'll like the pictures better. Plus, the less complicated the more likely the stylist in Jamaica will be able to reproduce it. Just don't expect it to be an exact match. Oh, and I like the orchids but I'm partial because they're my favorite flower!Quote:

Thanks for the advice. I have already started saving the emails in a folder and we had discussed paying by the hour for open bar so I think this will help us finalize our decision. Also, did you have troubles getting Emma to respond your emails? I have emailed her twice in the last 2 and a half weeks and have yet to hear from her! This is the first trouble I've had with her, she usually responds within a few days. Grrr!Quote:

Haha, I overloaded on Tripadviser when I started planning too! In the end, I just had to choose a location and stop reading the reviews (at least temporarily). I chose Cabo for the weather and the beautiful scenery. Just as the others said, there are a few swimmable beaches in Cabo. Good luck planning!
P.S. I live in Chicago too.

Good to know. I am just starting to plan my wedding at SML and I think the location is absolutely georgous but I don't want to be over charged-its already going to more than we had planned to spend!

Has anyone gotten married at Sunset da Mona Lisa? The website photos are gorgeous! I want to get married overlooking the ocean but I don't think I actually want to be in the sand. This looked perfect! I'd like to hear some experiences from people who have been there or gotten married there, or any other location suggestions.

I'm all about the heels, but I won't be in the sand for my ceremony or reception. I'm hoping to have photos in the sand bc my FMIL gave us the just married flip-flops for Christmas.
