The SHeraton has an indoor venue with a.c. so I'm juggling between in and outdoors, ALos, we would have to end the party at midnight if it were outdoors ! Indoors we can end it whenever we like! i dont know.......

Thank you girls I'm actually convincing my fiance to doit outdoors, the reception wont start until around 8 pm since my ceremony is late around 6pm so I'll be getting a late start but now Im glad since it might be cooler for all of us!! I'm thinking of the Sheraton if anyone's intrested to know =-)

did any of the guests have a hard time withthe weather during the reception since it was outdoors

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if June is really rainy in PV because my fiance doesnt want an outside reception because he's paranoid it's gonna be too hot and humid for the guests! i want it outside but he;s not coming to an agreement with me. !! I'm getting married June 28th, is it hot and rainy then?

Can you guys post the groups you hired and prices, o and if you have websites that would be great! Im having a hard time looking for a music group, Im thinking trio for the dinner and dj for the reception. I'm on a budget so Im looking for decent prices... =-)

I'm staying at the Sheraton but didnt know if they allow you to only book the hall and do all outside catering instead of getting thier packages for food and drinks. ? I emailed them but havent gotten a reply!

o yeah and the dolphin encounter with vallarta adventures is awesome!! i did and i want to do it again when i return

For great food try Cafe Des Artistes but it can b very pricey

Does anyone know of a banquet hall that's not on a resort hotel Im asking because I'm getting married thorugh the church ( parroquia de nuestra senora de Guadalupe) and thought of having the reception dinner at Cafe des Artistes BUT they don't allow loud music and I want dancing , especially with my father and soon to be husband so I thought a banquet hall would be the best bet since the resort halls i believe require you to buy a package!!! PLEASE HELP!!! I'm going crazy , I can't find anything online!

It's unfortunate that they made you go through all this but being MExican myself , I've flown from Tijuana to PV and never had a problem with them asking me what was in my boxes, bags, etc. Also, Mexico has to enforce the law of taxation of imported goods just like they do it at the border here in San Diego, so it's not unusual that they asked for a tax on your things, however I do believe they did not believe your story about getting married, it's definetly not a "right" for people of the same sex to marry in our culture. And it's true to take extra money for briberies ( its just the way things are down there) but never to much when your flying and coming into MExico because they will try to take all of it and NEVER tell them how much money is on you! Lie ! Trust me!

I was told about a women who sings soprano in the church where I will have my ceremony but I can't find her number, the secretary from the church office gave me this info, I wanted her to sinf Ave Maria while I walk down to the altar. I aslo wanted to get a trio for after the ceremony and reception since it's only a small group I'm having so no large band Can anypne recommend a affordable/resonable trio or mariachi that I can contact? thanks!

I'm getting married there!!! I also called before november of this year and they told me the same thing. I called on the exact day ( Nov 3rd) and I reserved my June 28th ceremony at 630 pm ( spanish) because I still need to take pictures before the sun sets ( before the mass) and I was going to have a late dinner reception at Cafe des Artistes or Cafe des Artistes del MAr ( opening in dec.07) I yet to book the resturant , still debating.

O and try the tortilla soup its great!

Thanks for the review! I'm also staying at the Sheraton but I'm having my ceremony at the church in the malencon and I still havent decided were to have my reception. I've stayed at the Sheraton ad I loved it! they also upgraded us to a nicer room because the one the initally gave us was not what we had paid for , they upgraded for free! I love this resort !

I;m getting married at La Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in downtown puerto vallarta, it's right in the malencon, it's a beautiful church!!!

Hi Edna, I was wondering if what church you're getting married in since you mentioned it in the previous post about transportation. I'm getting married in the church by the malencon La Parrioquia de Nuestra Virgin de Guadalupe ( some thing liek that). If you are getting married here or any other church can you recommend a florist and singer for the ceremony. Thanks!!! -Virginia

Thanks! I know they have on thier website that they will do basically what you request. I have contact info form a women that is in charge of all this. I know I've had dinner there too and I LOVED it@!!! I really recommend this place for the brides getting married in PV!

I actaully went to see this guy's studio when I was down in PV, he's been in the business for a LONG time yu can tell he know his stuff! He seem reliab;e and professional.
