  1. Hmm, can't figure out if that was me or the board. Let me try again....

Also, wanted to share that Jace, my fiance, was responsible for the jokes and crossword puzzle sections : )

    He did a great job!!

Here should be a pdf of our itinerary..... which again, unfortunately, is in InDesign

Alright, sorry, I just tried again, and it won't let me upload it. If anyone wants it, just email or PM me.

  2. You are so lucky that you are going there for a site visit this weekend!! I wasn't able, but I'm happy to trust everyone else to give me good recommendations that were able!!!

While I'm at it though, I wanted to pass on two other places that our coordinator recommended and her comments--just in case anyone wants some more options. Hope these help : )

*-SPIAGGIA- Spiaggia - Puerto Vallarta Beach Restaurant & Lounger Bar

(Very nice and ocean view, they have a private area we could reserve and perhaps you can choose one menu for everyone, check it out!! Food is good, worth the price, also very close from Sheraton)

    *-OSCAR'S- RESTAURANT OSCAR'S - BREAKFAST · LUNCH · DINNER

(This place is lovely and they have a live guitarist at nights, it is right after the bridge ending down town, it's not too close but I think it would be nice for people to go see that side and before or after walk down the malecon. I think you would like this place best, I don't why, it would be a good experience for everyone)

  3. Hi girls,

We're having our rehearsal dinner at Barcelona Tapas--but, i just heard back today from El Arrayan--which, I believe was recommended to me by the Sheraton's coordinator. We didn't select them because they were revamping their menu and just got back to us today (although they let us know it would be a while) and we're getting married on Nov. 3, so we needed to secure something further in advance.

Anyway, I wanted to post their new menus in case any of you wanted to consider.

Their contact info is: [email protected]

    Good Luck : )

  4. Hi ladies,

I totally thought that I remembered reading about a salon that will come to your room and give manicures and pedicures to you and your bridal party. I thought I remembered seeing pricing and contact info too...

However, when I search for it and look through the posts in this part of the forum, I can't find it!!

Can someone send me the link to the convo....if it exists, or recommend a salon that might do this? Thanks!

  5. We're doing one too....

Like most of you, I'm really not looking forward to it....I feel like a jerk because its important to my parents and Fiance, but our wedding is in November in Mexico, and right now, I'm worrying about the menu choices, guest lists and invites for this AHR in February. I feel like I'd just like to have one thing (our wedding!!!) to focus on : )

We're planning for around 150-200 (of mostly my parents friends and family). We are planning on a DJ and are going to have it on 2/16, so we're making it a valentine's theme to try and keep it informal.

I like the idea of the slide show (did you all feel as though your guests enjoyed this and didn't feel "left out"). Also, I'm still kicking around the idea of whether a photographer is necessary. Did you have one at your event?

And, lastly, how many of you wore your dress again--at least some of the time?

  6. I've really been wondering that too! Would love to hear what others have done. I checked for the previous posts, but only found two comments and wanted to hear more : )

We've got a hotel coordinator for the Sheraton that we are paying a separate fee for, and then the 15% service charge on top of taxes, so I was wondering if the separate coordinator fee was similar to a tip, and the "service charge" was to make sure the wait staff shared in the gratuity or not...

I keep thinking that maybe I'll just get her a nice piece of jewelry to cover all my bases, but I wanted to see what you all did for wait staff, coordinators and photographers....

If you don't feel comfortable sharing on here, you can PM me or send me an email at heathers7 at gmail.com

    Thanks!

  7. thank you thank you--I'm going to check out fleximusic. If you find out what one your friend uses as well, can you please share?

We've decided to use the ipod too--although they aren't charging us $25 an hour--its like $90 an hour, but its better than the $1000 that they wanted to rent us a DJ for sad.gif. SO much price gouging!! At least this way we can play all the music WE want!

I can't testify to how it will all work, but we sent out an email to all of our guests for them to submit a song request and they are really getting into it. I know the DJ that we would have had wouldn't have been able to do that : ).

I don't really want to play "who let the dogs out" for our wedding...but, my nephews are pretty into that song (4 of them, all under the age of 6) So, we'll take one for the team : )

  8. I don't know how helpful this will be, but we are going to go with Los Veranos because it seems to have something for everyone (we've got little kids in our group and there's a petting zoo), the contact is very responsive (responds mostly the same day) and the discount they can offer for a group looks pretty decent. I've heard Vallarta Adventures was good too--but for those guests who might be a bit older or a bit younger, the Los Veranos tour seems like it will appease. Good luck!
