  1. Hello ladies!

A lot of the best cenote locations are actually private locales hired directly with the photographers. We have our "secret" off the map spots and special agreements with the owners. It's often better this way to avoid crowds at the more well-known sites, with a lot of people in the water it can really stir up sediment and make it far less personal and special. Talk to your photog (Del Sol perhaps?) and see what they recommend.

Here are a few cenote trash the dress photos to stimulate your senses, let us know if you would like to be our next mermaid bride!

    Hi travelgal78,

I completely understand your disappointment with Xcaret prices - I've been there to. After learning about all the complications and expenses, I was ready to give up on Xcaret, but I really loved the place. Did you considered having just your ceremony there and the reception at another place? The fee for any of the churches or the pond is around $1,600. The only other thing that you would need to get is music (add another $700). This option is available only on a weekday. I know, its still pricey, but the place is unbelievably beautiful and you will have amazing pictures and very unique ceremony that would not compare to any hotel.

Search for DelSol's pictures of a wedding in the Chapel of Guadalupe (its inside the grotto). I think the name of the bride was Savy (maybe Mat can help on this one).

There are also a few beach clubs around Xcaret where you can have your reception for much less than Xcaret's prices.

This is an option that I went with, so feel free to ask any questions.

    Hi anayMay2014,

You have a terrific memory, wow! The Xcaret wedding of Savi and Robert remains one of our faves, here is a small taste, anyone interested can click the link for the whole wedding. :)

  3. Xcaret brides, we just posted our most recent Xcaret Wedding and we wanted to share some photo inspiration with you! It is a truly phenomenal venue for a wedding, elegant, natural, historical, so much beauty and so many great places for photographs. Xcaret always does a top notch job putting together their weddings. Here are some photos from Cindy and Abram's wedding, ceremony in the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel and reception in La Isla.

  4. Hi Raquelita0715! There are a tonne of cenotes in the Riviera Maya and each photographer seems to have their favourites. Many of them are "private", not open to the public or lesser known so not crowded at all. We have our "secret spots" where we love to shoot our mermaid brides! Here are some shots for inspiration...

    Hi everyone and congrats,

I am a newbie here and I am a second time bride.  I am looking for advice about hiring a photographer to take some pics for our wedding in Mar/14. Who did you hire/are you hiring, and how do you find someone reputable?  How much does it cost roughly? We are doing a "Marry me Now" package where we don't have a date set til we actually arrive at the resort.  We are only two going so don't want anything elaborate since we've been down this road before.  This is my dilemma.  How to hire a photo. without a date.  Any advice?

    thanks

    Hi secondtimebride!

We'd be happy to have you contact us regarding your upcoming nuptials. You can see here Del Sol Photography reviews . Here are a few photos from our romantic couple only wedding!
