I'm definitly good to wait, especially if it means we get the whole order! I'm thinking happy positive thoughts
thanks ladies -
Hi! well I haven't been down to the area at all, so obviously I haven't been to any of these resorts. However, Paradisus was on my short list of resorts. I think it would meet all of your criteria. there are rooms that you can upgrade into, it has an open air concept area where you can have a reception. and from the pictures I have seen of it - the buildings look beautiful.
I'm sure youv'e seen Adam's girl's review of it and her pictures - but I thought it looked and sounded like an amazing place.
As for the rest - sorry I don't know too much about them!

Hey! well, I'm sorry I don't know who you were in contact with, but this is who I am working with - and she is fantastic!

As for time of year - I don't know what time is the best. I'm getting married the beggining of May - but I've never been there at that time of year! so we will see

Thanks for the info! Well - I guess if we don't hear back from the guy by your deadline (did you say it was wednesday?), it would be great if you can send those to me. Is that okay?
If anyone decides that they don't want their partial order anymore - let me know, I'll buy them off of you. I'm looking for 15 more and I'm not too picky about the color.

That is horrible! I'm sorry you guys had to deal with all this frustration!
It is also bulls**t that they are dealing with another group of brides before us!!
Would you be able to let me know what you have of my order?
Thanks!!

I wanted to, but we did not hav enough guests. I was told you need 64 resort guests to have the reception there. But I recall that someone posted a while back that they were told you needed 80 guests.
At any rate you need a large number of guests to have it there. -

If you want to use the private dinner that comes with the wedding packages, you can only have 40 people. If you have more guests, then yes you have to have a private event.

Welcome! I won't be at EDR in April, but I'll be there in May for our wedding!
I really wanted to get a marachi band, but I just could not find a good time to have them. We are doing the wedding at 4, and then a private dinner/dance event at the Health bar and I just plan on taking my ipod with our own selection of music.
Let me know if you have any other questions!! There are also alot of great threads about EDR on the forum already.

Hi! welcome!
St Lucia looks like a great choice! It was 1 of my top choices, but it wasn't appropriate for us, because flying would have been a hassal - but obviously not a problem for you!
My girlfriend just had her honeymoon at St Lucia at the sandals resort. She just loved it. the only bad thing she said about the resort is that some of the rooms are a little worn. however they are also building/renovating the rooms.
that's all I know - so good luck choosing!

Congratulations!! the wedding looked so beautiful and intimate!
the pictures are amazing too

Sorry - I dont have anything to add, because I haven't found anything either.
I just wanted to say - I think that's an awesome your doing this! Your guests will sure appreciate it

IMO I don't think 1 W will affect you, especially given that you are a Dean Lister. I had a W in my 2nd last year in undergrad - and nobody questioned it. If it ever comes up in an interview - tell them what is going on in your life - trust me, I'm sure whoever is interviewing will be able to relate.
I'm sorry to hear that your feeling overwhelmed right now. I understand what you are going through though - I'm in my final semester of law school, planning a wedding for a week after my last exam, trying to get our house sold in a city and build a house in another city 3 hours away and I'm also working. What I do notice, is the bad days always happen when I'm tired (or like you sick!) because that is when your mind can't figure out how your going to get it all done when you have no energy/feel like crap.
Honestly, and I know this sounds cliche - but just take it 1 day at a time. Just get through today and tomorrow until you feel better - and things will look better again!
Hang in there - and feel better

That was an awesome review! thank-you
congratulations on your wedding - it looked beautiful!

they are both beautiful gowns, so it's tough to say without seeing you in them. so just based on the gown my vote is for the watters gown
good luck deciding!!

My photographers are coming for a week, so I don't have to worry about raising any red flags! but that being said, I'm still going to pay for chairs for them - more out of courtesy and their own comfort. -
Thanks so much Sol!! that is very helpful

I arrive May 3. But I believe that brandoo?? is getting married May 3 - so she should be that at the same time as you as well. When do you leave?
-
Thanks for all the comments ladies!!
I think this weekend will be a registry filled weekend - and as advised - I will be putting all the linens my little heart desires and won't feel guilty about it now

Thanks Christine -
I'm off tonight to go and register - I wasn't planning on it, we know FI will be in town and with the night off - so we better get it done!
The advice I've been given is to get lots of linens (bedding & bath). But how many sets should you get? and how many are too many to put on a registery? We have 1 king size bed and 2 spare queens.
I would like to get a set per bed, and had even hoped to get 2 for our king - but is that too many?
