  1. Did anyone buy sparklers in the US and bring them in their luggage onboard? I have no idea if bringing sparklers out of the US/ into Mexico on a plane is legal- Does anyone know
  2. [Does any one know of any other way to see the villas without having to pay this charge? I am going down to Cabo in May and I would love to be able to see the vilas, and try to determine if have a wedding there is even a poossibility for us. Do you have a wedding coordinator? I am working with Adriana at Terramar, and she had a man let us into 3 houses there...
  3. Jaims, I did a LOT of research into having our wedding at a villa. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the idea, but we decided against it for financial reasons and logistics. Each villa in Pedegral costs about $6500 more to have your wedding there (on top of the nightly rental fee)... That's a high location fee, but you can save costs on catering and decor because it's already so beautiful. My guests are all staying in the La Jolla area- which is close to San Jose del Cabo, and Pedegral is on the furthest side of Cabo San Lucas- about 35 minutes from where our guests will be. Another thing to consider is transportation to the villas- the roads within Pedegral are very windy, up and down a hill, depending on which side the villa is on (Pacific or Sea of Cortez). The guests would not be able to all drive to the wedding- they do not allow all those cars in there- and you would NOT want anyone to drive in this area who'd had even a sip of alcohol! I visited 2 villas there, and looked at Clara Vista online... feel free to write me with any questions. If you can afford it, and can transport your guests to and from there- go for it- it is breathtaking!!! VERY European!

  6. How do i get to Christi's pictures? i am so new at this... thanks for your help!
  7. We are getting married at the chapel at El Encanto Inn adn the reception will be at Casa del Mar... I will be getting ready at Casa del Mar. Can someone give me Suzanne's info, and also Sam- the videographer's too... what do they charge?
  8. Can anyone recommend someone for makeup and hair that they've had first-hand experience with? Same with a videographer- at a reasonable price THANKS!
  9. Natasha, Did your husband ever write his review of Casa del Mar... if so, how can i find it? i'd be really interested to hear any info about the place. Thanks!
  10. Tammy, we will only have about 45 guests so i'm trying to decide if we should do a smaller hotel that wont drown us... we definitely want privacy. if you do a beach wedding, how do you wear heels?!?!? i have to have heels on! i've never been to cabo but i have done a lot of online research- dont think we'll be able to travel there before making a decision, unfortunately. the restaurant you chose- is it oceanside/ can you see the water from it? it looks so pretty! i want my wedding to be classic/classy and elegant- dressy attire- but not too formal! any advice?
  11. does anyone know the prices for F&B (average) for Sheraton? Is anyone on the forum having or had their wedding there? I am considering it for my Oct 07 wedding...
  12. where did you end up deciding to have your wedding
  13. Thanks all for your posts so far! i have checked out the cabo surf hotel and the budget thing is definitely an issue wherever we go... if we did stay at casa natalia, we'd probably have the wedding ceremony and reception somewhere different all together... which means more expenses with location fees, etc. did you all use a wedding coordinator? if so, who was it with what company? do you think it's important to have the wedding at the same place that everyone is staying?
  14. i am getting married in cabo next october- trying to decide between casa del mar, casa natalia or renting private villas or condos- about 45 people total... we want everyone to be able to hang out and i dont know what's a better idea- private condos or villas with no communal area, or all being at one hotel where others are staying too?!?
