  1. Hola Travelbugg, Congrats on your upcoming wedding!!! Maroma is often nominated one of the BEST beaches in the world and it's not that far away from the main attractions in the area: Mayan temples, cenotes, zip-lines, horse back riding, etc... You do need to take 20 minute cab ride if you want to go to downtown but if you have beach lovers in your party, they should be fine with that Playacar Palace on the other hand, is conveniently located within walking distance of the heart of Playa del Carmen and is great venue for small wedding parties. It's also family friendly so the little ones are welcomed here too!! Here are some slide shows of weddings we've done at both locations to help you visualize your day: SECRETS MAROMA Alison + Manuel - Photos by Juan Jose Evan + Kari - Photos by Matt Adcock PLAYACAR PALACE Laurence + Jeffry - Photos by del Sol Associate Michelle + Adam - Photos by Sol Tamargo Good luck and happy planning!

  3. Hello Ladies, I'm super excited to share with you my most recent GCR Wedding!!! Jessica + John said yes to an elegant beach wedding by Alquimia Events, followed by a cocktail hour with appetizers on the beach and a private and fun reception at the Villa Terrace. We loved this reception location as it's private and has a great ocean view!! Hope you enjoy these pictures: Want more? Check out the full slide show here: http://delsolphotography.com/blog/content/galleries/?gal=754. What do you think of Photo Booth idea at the reception? Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!
  4. Hola JessiTaylor, We have done weddings at both locations: Gazebo and Beach and I guess it all depends at what time is your wedding and if you mind onlookers or not. The Gazebo is a bit more private but the beach is nice and can accommodate any size group. Know too that if you get married in the Gazebo, you can do your portrait session on the beach, so you don't miss out on having images of the gorgeous Caribbean waters Here are some images and slide shows that might help you make a decision: GAZEBO WEDDING - http://delsolphotography.com/blog/content/galleries/?gal=652 BEACH WEDDING - http://delsolphotography.com/blog/content/galleries/?gal=640 Best wishes and happy planning!!!
