  1. Hey there Jules, my ILs ended up going to Pesquero and loved it! They didn't see any weddings but there was a wedding the week they were there. They even moved because the wedding was being set up right near where they were sitting on the beach. From everything they said I would definitely pay the extra money to get the grand suite or whatever it is called. They were upgraded for free because the hotel couldn't find their reservations and they ended up getting three rooms all to themselves (which they were pretty happy about). The only other suggestion is to make sure you bring scissors as the resort uses the bracelets and you would want to cut those off before the wedding.
  2. Hey my FILs are thinking of going to Playa Pesquero for a second week when we go to Cuba for our wedding. My parents might be staying for a second week to celebrate their 30th anniversary and my FILs wanted to give them some privacy so I recommended this resort and the one that adjoins our honeymoon resort (they liked it but wanted to give us some privacy as well as having some of their own). If they end up going I will be sure to post some pictures for you.
  3. There was a girl on another forum who had her rings stolen out of her suitcase on her way to Mexico. Just thought that for those of you taking your rings you should be aware to keep them in your carry ons because otherwise they may go missing.
  4. It depends on the tour operator but it ranges between 4 and 4.5*.
  5. She is getting married February 20th. PRDO can be somewhat expensive but it is well worth it. What price range are you looking at for your guests? We don't have any pics from our friend's wedding in Cuba at PRDO because our camera died while we were there but it was a beautiful wedding. I wouldn't recommend going any lower than a 3.5* resort though. OGPT has a whole kids section and we chose this resort instead of an adult one in another part of the country in case our niece and nephew or a few of my younger cousins decided to come. Good luck making your choice, it's not easy at all.

Tell me about it. What are you getting Married? We are getting married at OGPT in July. OMG I just realized that in almost five months I am getting married! I haven't been there yet, we decided on it because my friend had gotten engaged there and she loved it. There don't seem to be any wedding reviews but I know someone getting married there in February so hopefully she'll be able to tell me all about it. We also stopped by there when we were in Cuba the last time and the resort looked amazing. We will likely be getting the free wedding as it looks like we'll have 20 people going with us. We do know all about PRDO though if you have any questions about it, we stayed there for a week for a wedding.
  7. Hey there, we are getting married in Cuba as well. We chose Occidental Grand Playa Turquesa as a friend of mine got engaged there. We have also been to Paradisus Rio de Oro for my fiance's best friend's wedding. It was amazing, we are going to be going there for the second week of our stay. The only reason we chose Occidental was because it was cheaper than Paradisus otherwise we would have gladly gotten married at PRDO. Feel free to ask me any questions and I'll try to answer them.
