  1. Wow - I love both your ideas! Those dollar tree bags are a great find! And the Swag bag is so much fun. Great job girls!
  2. Well - thank you, I look forward to your review! Congratulations! Your wedding is soo soon!
  3. Great! Do they own timeshares there?
  4. Thank you, I really appreciate it!!!
  5. Yes we did our site visit in the middle of October. Between Villa del Palmar and RIU there was litterly no one on the beach. In front of Villa del Palmar and the rest of the hotels all the way down to the Baja Cantina - I totally agree - way too many people. Hopefully it wasn't just a slow weekend! The coordinator said that you may get one or two stragglers, but really since there are no hotels between those two it stay's pretty quite! I guess I will pray for no people and construction finished!!!! Thanks for all the info - I notified the coordinator to ask about the construction and when it shuld be completed. When I was there in October, they said April. We'll see!
  6. Hi Tammy, Thanks for the info. We actully are having our ceremony on the beach at Villa del Palmar. Since it is the last property on the beach, the far end is pretty seculded. Where did you hear about the staff. That worries me a little.
  7. This is a new resort that just opened in July - they have a priate ship in the pool! Very cool! We are about to sign the contract and send in the deposit. Has anyone spent any time there?
  8. Best Lobster in Cabo! When we went for our site trip with my parents, it had been 20 years since my dad had been to Cabo. When I asked where the best Lobster in Cabo was he told me at the Trailer Park. I laughed and said no way. Later that day we went to Minerva's to rent the boy's a boat and I asked her where the best place was for Lobster - to my surprise she told me The Trailer park! Don't be confused there are a few trailer parks in cabo that serve lobster - the one that is the best is called the Trailer Park at El Faro. It is deep in the middle of town and is well worth the the trip. It is a little pricy, but great atmospher and the best lobster ever!!!
  9. Does anyone have a photo of the wooden planks some hotels use as walkways along the beach. I am intrested in using one, and would like to show the coordinator what I have in mind.
  10. Hi Janet - I am so happy for you! I totally have been thinking of you and am so glad everything worked out. I have to agree Cabo Surf is wonderful (even thought I don't think that is where we will be getting married after all). Can't wait to see you photos!
  11. I was down doing my site visit about a month ago and met with Jennifer and tasted cake. It was wonderful and she was very nice. I work for a catering company and we do great cakes, but I must say hers were delicious. We chose a 4 tiered square cake - 2 tiers of carrot cake with lemon cream cheese frosting and 2 tiers of devils food cake with Kahlua and chocolate ganache (TO DYE FOR). She is charging us $ 5.00 per person with a $75 design fee and $ 50 delivery fee. We are planning on about 60 people. She is great and is american - very easy to communicate with!
