We're OFFICIALLY BOOKED! I'm a Sandals Grande Ocho Rios, Jamaica Bride!

jamaicabride09 -- your sunset ceremony on the beach will be superb! The sunsets look like they are incredible, and you're right -- most of the other resort guests will most likely be back at their rooms getting ready for dinner, so the beach will (fingers crossed!) be all yours! :)

okay so my wedding is scheduled for 4pm...we want it on the beach...not sure of the receptoin location yet BUT lets just say we did have a reception on the beach- what happens if the 3pm bride/groom also want to have a reception in the same area? I know the weddings are an hour apart but confused how the reception works, especially since we are planning for a 3 hour reception....

I am not sure how that would work. Are you planing on doing the set-up with the tent and stringing lights?

I would assume that they have differnt areas of the beach they could use.

Jamaicabride09- yes I do like the string lights so its def. something I am thinking about. Have you heard of or seen anymore pics of this? Just want to make sure its not false advertisement! I think it looks good in the picture of the packet they sent us! What should we have picked out before we go and what should wait until we get there?

Jamaicabride10- ahhhh, I would love if I can see a few pics from Dunn's River!! Hope you are enjoying your trip!

I plan on trying to pay for as much as possible prior to our departure. I think that is completely up to you. Some past Sandals/Beaches brides have waited until they got to the resort to order things.

smile03.gif Since we are getting married the same day- YAAAYYY!! I am curious when you told your guest the last day is to book the trip? I sent out my Save The Dates last week and as of now I have about 20 people booked. I was planning to send out my invitations in the beginning of September BUT technically my travel agent says that Sept 15 is the last day to book because its 60 days prior to wedding date. Is this the date they gave you? I just dont know what to tell my guest when they ask when is the latest we can book? I dont want them to book Sept 15 because I need a wedding count prior to that for the wedding coordinator and for planning, etc. BUT if I tell the guest an earlier date (ie Aug) it will look wierd sending out invitations after the date I telll them is the last to book!

I hope this makes sense! Soo...what did you do!? Fill me in! :-)

We sent out our STD's in January and I have given our guests until August 14th to book. I plan on sending out our invitations at the end of this month. The reply date on my invitations matches the August 14th date. I wanted to allow some room for late responders.

Hope that helps!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
