The tip on last weeks Biggest Loser was to chew Extra sugarfree gum whenever you had a sweet craving!

Gross! sick.gif LOL

Honeycrisp apples are my fav too!!

I was a bad girl this evening & had chicken alfredo sad.gif
I did have Smart pasta though, if that counts for anything! And alfredo sauce is my only option for pasta since tomato based ones really hurt my belly and with my current crohn's flare up that's a HUGE no-no!!! I'm just hoping it's better than the pizza we were going to order!

Amanda can you have pumpkin? My husband has really bad GERD and can't eat tomatoes. I started making spaghetti sauce out of pumpkin. I sauted some onions and added in sage and cinnamon. Everyone enjoyed it and we don't ever have GERD flair ups when I cook pumpkin.

I was bad and ate a whole carnitas rajas burrito sans rice & beans but ate the chips from Rubio's (800 calories)but I made up for it by going to the gym and burned off 600 on the elliptical. So I'm pretty happy with myself.

Haha, you mean commercial? I love all of their blatant advertisements mid show. I also loved the look on Drea's face that said "Thanks for using me to whore out your product. Wish I were getting paid for this." Although, to be fair, that is a decent tip. :-) So at least they're not selling lies, just product placement; I can't really fault them for decent tips.

I think I did pretty well today. My friend worked me out pretty hard at the gym.... don't know if I'll be able to move tomorrow!

And I love whoever said "Why not do better today?" I forgot who said it. It's a good point. Sometimes I think about all the times I made the less healthy decision. If I add them all up, I would probably weigh a lot less right now.

Thanks for the tip Malisa!! I'll have to try that (without telling DH what is in it! lol) Do you just use the canned pumpkin? I've never cooked with pumpkin before!

LeAnne - I honestly wasn't paying close attention so all I heard was "sweet tooth, extra sugar free" lol Now that I think about it more it was obviously commercialy! But hey - whatever works! lol

Is it very acidic?? tomatoes are really acidic & that's what causes me the problems. Hmmm - I'm really curious now! I'll have to give it a try when I get back!

That's awesome Hol!!! Seriously, it will really deter you from eating that kind of stuff now!! The same thing happened to me with smoking - I really cut back a lot & then basically quit. I will still have a few "puffs" of a smoke if I am drinking & around someone smoking, but anymore than like 2 puffs & I'm sick - it's a really good deterrent!!!

Well ladies - I'm off for a week of vacation!! I hope everyone has an amazing week & good luck with the weigh ins on Wednesday! Remember, this is not just about losing weight, it's about becoming a healthier, better person & feeling good about yourself! We all have it in us to do it - and like Hol said earlier, don't put off until tomorrow what can be done today!

mwah! love.gif

Hol...even though being sick doesnt feel great....thats a great sign. Your on the rode to being healthy! I always find that when Im eating great and I eat something I use to...I get sick. Our bodies are like woah....we cant do that now. Like Manders said, a great deterrant!

Manders..have a great vacation!

Well yesterday I got to the gym for a 2 mile run as well as 15 minutes on the elliptical. I havent been on the elliptical in quite sometime and have to say it really kicked my butt! We are suppose to get up to 37 today so Id like to try to run outside. Although I did get my period this morning (which explains my 5 day headache), and usually I feel like such crap during it that I dont exercise. I know it helps so Ill try to get out there today.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
