Hi,

There really are no cons to using a travel agent as we help negotiate the best rates and amenities as well as provide service and advice...most of all, we act as your advocate when issues come up.

Our agency does not charge a fee and gets paid by the hotel/supplier :)

If you want to ask any questions, feel free to use the link in my siggy :)

@@MrsGuralewycz2B,  You have plenty of time until October, with the right team of professionals you will be fine. I cannot think of any cons about working with a TA just as @@TammyWright mentioned.

 When it comes to working with a travel agent, find someone who specializes in Destination Wedding. The can help you narrow down your options, based on what on your requirements. Also find someone who you feel is a perfect fit for you, you will be trusting them with such an important occasion. They can get you a some special group rates. They also offer more benefits for your for the Bride and Groom for booking your group. Most bride who work with with travel agent are able to put their focus on the booking the resort part. while you put your focus planning the wedding.

Happy Planning!

@MrsGuralewycz2B  I'm absolutely on the travel agent side!! First of all, why would you want the stress? Let a professional handle it. A good agent will work with your budget and the budget you have for your guests as well as helping you stay within that budget. They'll also help with your wants and don't wants. Your guests will have a resource for their questions instead of trying to contact you while you're in the middle of wedding planning! A travel agent is definitely the way to go and one that specializes in destination weddings is a good route to go. The owners of this site - Wright Travel - are destination wedding specialists. You can go to the top search area and look under vendor reviews for the section on travel agents and see what past brides have said about their experience.

I'm also an October bride and we renewed our vows this past October in Mexico. For health reasons I couldn't go full steam on planning until about this time last year and it all came together in time so you're fine to put it together for October of this year!

Good luck and happy planning!

@MrsGuralewycz2B Congratulations on your engagement!!!

Las Caletas is a truly magical place to exchange your vows and celebrate this special occasion. It is our private beach cove in the south bay and is only accessible by sea, giving it the seclusion and ambiance of an island hideaway. It covers an enormous area and features several beaches, a pyramid amphitheater built into the tropical forest and mountain side, various facilities/buildings (spa, kitchens, eating areas/restaurants, bars, restrooms, etc.), and several hundred acres of tropical forest.  We have Plenty Space for October 2016 (including wekend)

Our 3 wedding packages are just perfect for a beach wedding, please find  our website and packages on this link: http://bit.ly/PlanYourWedding

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
