Along similar lines: We'll have elderly grandparents coming into Cancun. Does anyone known how accommodating the Cancun airport (especially while waiting to get through customs) is for handicapped passengers? Last time I went through, I wasn't necessarily keeping an eye out for that...

thanks!

Here is what I will send my guests. I "stole" most of it from someone else and then just edited it a bit.

Once you arrive in Cancun International Airport (CUN) getting from your plane to your ride is a pretty easy excursion.

When you get off your plane, you’ll enter a line to clear passport border control. You must provide your completed tourist card at this time. Do not forget to fill out the complete form including a signature line that is hidden at the bottom of the form.

Once at the passport control counter, the border control person will review your passport and your tourist card for your signature, and then stamp your tourist card. He will keep a copy, and then give a copy back to you. MAKE CERTAIN TO KEEP THIS COPY in a safe place, as you will need it to exit Mexico.

Next, collect your baggage and take it to the x-ray machine. Place your bags on the belt. Collect your bags on the other side. Walk towards the exit where you will find a Red and Green traffic light. To activate the light, press the button. If you receive a red light, you will have to open your baggage for inspection.

After clearing customs, you will most likely be approached by many people posing as taxi/shuttle drivers. Beware, these are actually timeshare salespeople. Ignore any solicitations for free vacations or rides to your hotel unless of course you have the intention of listening to a timeshare presentation during your stay in Mexico.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
