  1. Disazaja, Glad you enjoyed the pics! At least that gives you an idea of the type of work they do. The pre-session comes as part of their most expensive photo package which is $2000. It also includes picture getting ready of both bride and groom, during the ceremony, and reception. My photographer was Malena and we totally loved her. Centerpieces were more than I had planned for. I actually carried six vases from oklahoma to punta cana in hopes to make a similar arrangement. When I walked into the wedding department a table was set up with the exact arrangement, except in different colors. As soon as I saw, I wanted. They were $75 a piece. A bit expensive, but it was exactly what I wanted. As far as souvenirs, my aunt had purchased some amber hearts and had some little cards made with our name and wedding date. (I'm from DR and puerto plata, DR is known as the Amber Cost). We wanted something typical of the island
  2. Busybride 2012, Glad you had such a good experiece! We did too Looooove Susana! Your pics turned out great and lucky for you to get the panoramic for free We stayed in one also and yes they are totally amazing! Happy Married life!
  3. New Bride101, Thanks for the compliment and congrats! You will love the rooftop! Our ceremony was at 5pm but started more like at 6 because my mother runs on dominican time x 10 lol. The weather was perfect and def. not too hot, however due to starting late, we were not able to get some of the beach shots in wedding attire. I would have liked some, but totally ok with it since we had the pre wedding photo session on the beach and were able to get some pretty cool shots inside. There was no lounge furniture during the ceremony, but I'm sure there would be no problem with having some. Our reception was about 30 mins after ceremony I guess. Our guests were taken by train to Bar Higuey while we had a few more pics by ourselves. The were greeted with these pretty blue drinks that everyone seemed to love. The bridal room was great since the wedding was ceremony was right above the spa. No issues with who could be there. I even had champange ordered and spa cookies since i hadn't had time to eat that day. Hope this helps and feel free to ask anything else
  4. High ladies, i havent been here in a while, but wanted to share since this forum helped me make so many decisions. (still on honeymoon lol) Just wrote a long review and deleted right before posting.... Ughhh So here is the shorter version. Wedding was Nov 2nd at 5pm Package: tangerine Ceremony: rooftop deck (totally worth the extra $500) Reception: bar higuey (perfect) Susana... Best wedding coordinator in the world! Trust her, she totally knows what she is doing Centerpieces: I paid ($75 a piece times 5 tables) people loved them and couldn't stop talking about the decor (which included the Tiffany chairs at an added cost of $5 per chair) Food: I went with the buffet (it's based on a 40 person minimum). I only had 33, so I paid extra and there was a lot of food left over, but my guests loooved the food, Pictures: I was terrified of using someone I didn't know, but tropical pics was amazing! Malena was our photographer and Santiago our videographer Excursions: zip lining.... Way fun and guests loved! DJ: we used the package with the MC and it was totally worth it. Highly recommend upgrading to club premium... A few perks plus wifi included. Hair/ makeup: it was included, but I used to be in beauty industry so I'm very picky about it (specially for my wedding) Lady at spa was very sweet and tried doing it, but I ended up finishing my hair and makeup which was totally ok with me. They don't have too much variety in colors, so if you have a specific look you want, bring your own makeup. I went to MAC, had my lady do my wedding makeup, then had her teach me to do it just the same. Dinners: have your WC reserve a week ahead of time.... They book fast Can't think of anything else of the top of my head, but if you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or message me on our Facebook fan page. Tons of pics on (over 200) on our fanpage at www.facebook.com/teamtunner . These are the professional ones by tropical pics Happy planning!

  6. Finally got my confirmation from Susana!!! So excited!!! It's set for Nov 2nd at 5pm on the chillout rooftop! So it's in 4 months and I will take as many pics as possible and promise to get as much info as possible since you ladies have been so amazingly helpful.
  7. Just wanted to say thank you ladies for the rooftop pics.....I love it! and it seems more private than the beach gazeebo. Now, if only I could communicate with susana lol. This may sound stalkish, but I tried to add her as a friend on facebook and no befriending .....I just wanted to put a face to who I was dealing with
  8. Hi trivera, I was reading one of your older posts in which you mentioned you had taken a lot of pics on your site visit. Have you by any chance posted them somewhere since then? If not, do you by any chance have a pic of chillout rooftop?

  10. Hi JG..when did you do your site visit? I'm asking because you said it was too hot for bar higuey...since mine is in november I'm hoping it'll be a little cooler. I think bar higuey loks pretty cool, but considering doing the reception inside. Do you have any pics of the indoor venues?
  11. Thanks! November 2nd 2012....I really didn't feel like planning for an entire year lol
  12. Hi again JG Corona....I saw your pics on facebook and your website (which is great by the way!)...my dads side of the family is from santiago and my moms is from santo domingo....I was wondering if you could share any information on the bus line you were using and what type of prices they were giving you.
  13. Hi JG Corona....have you had any luck having it later in the day...they have given me a time of 4pm, but Im shooting more for 5 or 6 for the same reason as you. The sun is burning at that time!
  14. Thanks trivera5521! I appreciate the suggestions....I think that my guests have been my main concern. While Hard Rock is within our budget and seems amazing, we want to make it as affordable as possible for our guests. I have been to BBPD before, but that was 8 years ago and I know they've done some major changes. (the pics look amazing!). I spoke with Susana yesterday because we need to decide asap. She said one of our dates is available so we are super excited! Now I'm just waiting on her email for confirmation and everything else. Makes me feel better that u did the site visits and still went with BBPD. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated
