We are doing the symbolic ceremony on the beach. For dinner we are just going to the steakhouse for the included dinner and I'm not sure about a reception after because I'm not sure how many people we will have coming. It seems crazy to spend a couple grand on a 2 hour party for 20 people, but we'll see. How about you?

@jonica I never inquired about different wedding packages, but I heard his base price was $900 for the night. It doesn't matter if its 2 or 4 hours, its the same price.

That sounds like it would be really romantic! You'll have to do photos before the ceremony though. Mines booked for 4pm and I still have to do photos before too. If you're doing a private dinner party then you should have enough time before the 11pm curfew. Then you can go to the disco at 11pm. I heard the ceremony is only 1/2 hour long. If it really bothers you, you could try booking another day for an earlier ceremony time. Good luck, no matter what it will be beautiful

I'm getting married in Punta Cana as well, however I'll be at a different resort. We were also recomended DJ Mania. He is apparently very good at keeping the party going, you can also give him a song list. And I've heard he has lots of upgrades such as lights and balloons. He sounds good, I'm just hesitant over his price...

I'm new to this site and new to planning my destination wedding. I thought it would be easier than an at home wedding but there are still so many details to consider! I am getting married at the Majestic Colonial Resort in the Dominican! So i've got 1 year to get everything planned.
