  1. I just got back from my wedding at Beaches Negril. The beautiful beginnings package is what I went with, and you can choose white or purple. I did white, it was very nice. Here is my review of the resort: http://steppingintosuburbia.blogspot.com/2013/04/beaches-negril-review.html I prepaid for the $1400 wedding photography package. This included 110 photos. She took over 400 altogether. We viewed them the day after the wedding and chose which ones we wanted. We added 40 more for $200. They all turned out great. The photographer is only with you for 2 hours and 1/2 hour before ceremony. We paid $100 for extra hour so we woud have pictures from reception. We paid for the 3 hour sit down dinner reception and for a 3 hour DJ. It was perfect! Our reception cost $60/person and then $100 for each additional table (one is included with package.) Each table seats 8 people. We had 27 people total, including us, so we got free inclusions for have over 10 rooms booked. We received a free rehearsal dinner under a beach hut, I got a mani/pedi on wedding day free, my fiance got a free massage. We had an upgraded room, We got a free 1 hour cocktail reception following the cermony (so our reception was 4 hours total.) So, as far as our wedding, with photography, we paid just under $3800 for our reception, including photography and DJ. We had 5 children at the reception, 4 were $30 and one was an infant, so he was free. The cost of our 4 nights at Beaches Negril and then 5 nights for our honeymoon at Sandals Ochos Rios was more than our recption. It was perfect, wish I could do it all over again!
  2. I just got back from my wedding at Beaches Negril, it was 4/6/13. It was better than expected. Everything was perfect, and I miss this resort so much! Here is a review on the resort that I wrote: http://steppingintosuburbia.blogspot.com/2013/04/beaches-negril-review.html I will be writing a new post on the actual wedding itself soon. I highly recommend this resort for a destination wedding, you will not be disappointed!
  3. I just got back from my wedding at Beaches, it was perfect in every way! Better than expected. Here is a reveiw I wrote on the resort itself http://steppingintosuburbia.blogspot.com/2013/04/beaches-negril-review.html I will be writing one soon on the wedding experience. I had 27 guests (including us.) We received all the free inclusions including the rehearsal dinner. We had our rehearsal dinner under the beach hut. There is no music, you can pay $150 for one hour for their sound system (no DJ.) That is totally not worth it. We actually unplugged the radio/ipod player from our room and brought it with us and played our own ipod music and it was enough. They had no problem with us pulling that out and plugging it in. I got the free manicure and pedicure. I paid the $90 for my hair on the day of the wedding. I did not do a trial. They are actually really good and quick with the hair at the spa. We paid for a private reception. We recieved the free 1 hour cocktail party and paid for a 3 hour reception and added a 3 hour DJ. It was perfect and just the right amount of time. Could not have been better. I was most worried about the pictures b/c I heard they dont touch them up and theyre not very good. I was expecting pretty bad, and they all were awesome. The photographer is only with you for 2 hours, we paid for an extra hour to have pics at our reception. She did all the photographs we wanted, and more. We paid for the traditional package for $1400 for 110 pics. We bought an extra 50 for $200 more. THey all turned out so good and dont even need touching up. Everyone is SO friendly and accommodating there, it's unreal. I miss it already! Our wedding was 4/6/13.

  5. Hi everyone, so much great information here! I am about to book our wedding in April, 2013 at Beaches Negril. I have been trying to gather as much pricing information as possible before we put our deposit down. We will have between 50-80 guests. We want a private reception and I received all the pricing on that. Only thing is that I read somewhere that to buy a dance floor for the outside private reception (which I think is the only option,) it costs money, does anyone know how much that is? I did not ask about that, just assumed it was included. Also, we are trying to keep our cost as low as possible. I am going to stick with the basic beautiful beginnings package. I read on one of these posts that they chose the beautiful beginnings package, but also chose another decorative package. This confuses me because I thought beautiful beginnings is all you need? I am fine with just the basica package and colors it comes with, will I have to pay more for something else? Thanks so much! Karin
  6. Hi ladies. I am just now coming across your thread as I am researching Beaches for a destination wedding. We are looking for 4/2013, and are told we need to put down are deposit to secure this date now. The problem is, we are told by our travel agent that we can not get any infromation on our wedding and prices until we reserve our room and wedding, basic package. We are probably goign to have around 70-80 guests in attendance, including a few children. From reading your comments it seems like the cost of it all will be more than expected. Everything is extra?? We have no clue what to expect on price. Are we allowed to bring outside photographers for the wedding and reception, from Negril, without having to pay for them to be on the resort? Do you think Beaches will end up being more expensive than many other weddings in Negril. We are not very picky on where we have it. We just want a Negril wedding, near the beach, with good service and a nice wedding. It's sounding like Beaches is more commercial and going to nickel and dime everything they can. Any suggestions? Any pricing info to share? Don't want to book until we know what to expect. Thanks!
