We waited until we got there to do the photography, and we upgraded my bouquet (which was a little expensive) but worth it!
  2. Good call on Trip Advisor reports! While it is impossible to avoid a few mishaps or expect an absolutely perfect experience, part of traveling is being in a new place, where things may not always be as you expect it. I could not believe the reports I read about our resort. It freaked us out a little and we had to ban reading reviews after a while. Some people have nothing better to do than complain right? I mean c'mon, look at the beaches in these beautiful tropical paradises we all visited, is it really that bad?!? Take it with a grain of salt, and tequila, is a perfect saying Tara!!!
  3. Ladies, I love the pics! Everyone looks so wonderful. Congrats to all the MRS. out there (no more single ladies ;-) i know we are all going thru vacation withdrawl big time. I was laid off in august last year, right after we booked the wedding, so we were hoping to take an actual honeymoon after we returned. I think we have to wait for that. If we go to Florida in Sept. we will probably go to Orlando to see his family and nieces. They are a really fun age now too so it would be a nice change from CO fall weather. I finally figured out how to add a pic to my profile (haha -- only t
  4. Thank you all so much! It was a big dress but I loved it too much! Hot and sweaty, trust me, but worth it! I will try to get a folder of the resort photos we took loaded this week too. All the shutterfly ones in the link are the actual resort photographer too. While they are all not my particular style, I would have picked something different if we were married in Colorado, overall thought she got great portrait shots. Some of my friends took fun detail shots for me too. I was pretty happy with all the pictures she took. I'll let you know how the wedding book turns out too. They seemed p
  5. http://share.shutterfly.com/share/re...0EYsWzVs0aMXJw I don't know if this link will work, but here is the link to the professional photos we got 210 digital negatives and the 12x12 book. Let me know if the link works or not!

Renee sent me the 3 or 4 potentially different versions of the ceremony that can happen. I just had to play it by ear, and did the readings back to back. I looked over all the types of ceremonies and how they go and just said "f- it" if it didn't go exactly in order I wasn't going to fret. Thi

So we had everyone that was staying at the Beaches come. Oh, and by random chance, 2 guests w
  8. Hahaha! All of us ladies are craving another beach vacation so bad! My husband is on the phone right now with his sister, who lives in Florida. We go out there often to do the beach and cruises. Thinking we are going to book something for Sept for sure!!! I have heard Curacao and Aruba are below the hurricane belt and since they are in the Carribbean, you get the beach without as much hurricane worry! Look it up!
  9. Oooh, sorry guys. Sand fleas -- yes they exist, bring tons of Off and bite cream. Some of our guests had reactions to them, like they were bit and the bite marks turned red and dime sized. the nurse on site said they had a disposition or allergy to them. My sister in law had them but used a salt scrub and said it helped a lot. I used bug bite spray religiously, very little perfume and unscented lotion. I noticed I had been bitten, but didn't have any itches (until I got home... now they are itchy!) Guests -- we had 36 guests total: 32 adults (4 stayed at different sandals resorts) 4 chi

  12. Future Beaches Brides -- we just returned from our wedding - of course to 50 degree weather, sad. I will post another review in a different section as well, but just wanted everyone to know that it is a remarkable resort, the wedding was fantastic, and beautiful. They really have it down well to accommodate nearly anything you could imagine and I wouldn't change a thing!
  13. ebredhawk -- about the wedding dress. my mom works for the airlines and said it is better to actually see if your wedding shop can pack it in a carryon suitcase. I know that might be a little tricky given other potential items you want to carry, but she said the closets they want to hang them in are a little sketchy. My dress is pretty big and they said it was no problem to pack it in a suitcase. I knew I would be steaming it one way or the other. my other thought about a garment bag is that if it got laid down in the overheads somebody might put a suitcase on top of it which would fre
  14. April Brides! Congrats to all who are on their way or already been down the aisle! We leave in 6 days and I cannot wait! Sorry to hear of the Drama tara - that stinks! Just focus on the good things and the better friends in life! I am non-frequent poster, frequent reader, but I agree this board is so shhhh now, can't have anything to do with our wedding month, right? Well, we are getting the final items for gift bags this weekend, sent our pre-travel letters and most people got them today, saying they loved them. We finished the programs this past weekend, except a few ribb

If you are wanting to do the 3 hour reception.. I think you may want to book that before you go. So you can plan but beautiful beginnings is simple and usually doesnt need to be paid for. Im confused have you not chosen your ceremony time yet? Thank you! We do have
