  1. We were in the same boat as you a while back. But we decided to fly a photographer out from home. It costs a little bit more (like a couple of hundred dollars) but we personally know this guy and his work. And the bonus is that he will take our pictures all week long. Not just the one day. So I'm pretty happy with that. I figure it's good bang for your buck!
  2. We are getting married at 10am (that was the only time left when we booked in April!) on the beach and are having a private reception at Posieden at 7pm. We are thinking of just bring our own ipod dock down for some music and possibly speeches. I'm not too worried about speeches and that since we are having a reception back home in July and can do thank you's there. Planning is going well so far. Not too much to do. We are doing fake flower's for the wedding party. And just waiting for the dresses to come in! Are you getting your hair and makeup done at the spa? Or doing you're own. I am getting one of my fiancee's cousins to do my hair so that I can trial it at home first. I'd hate to get my hair done and hate it. I just want something simple anyways.
  3. I noticed that you are getting married on January 30th 2013. We are getting married on January 18th 2013! How is the planning going so far? What time are you getting married at? We are at 10 am, and I'm trying to figure out what to tell people to do between the ceremony and the reception. I think that I will tell them to all just enjoy the sun and the beach. Are you having a private reception? Are you getting some entertainment? We have been thinking of booking the Zurielamaka show for after our supper. Hope your planning is going well!
  4. Hey Everyone! My fiancee and I are getting married at the GPLH on Jan 18, 2013 at 10am. By the time we booked in April, the only spots left were 10am We're having a private reception at Posideons at 7pm. My biggest concern is what to do with the guests between the ceremony and the reception/dinner. We thought about chartering a bus to take us into Montego Bay and do shopping and food. But I'm just not sure. It is a long time between the ceremony and reception. I don't want my hair to get wrecked and my makeup to melt off. I guess everyone could just do their own thing, I just hate that they got up early and got all dressed up for 30mins of ceremony and then have to cool their heels for so long in between. Was just wondering if you guys have any suggestions?
  5. Photography on my wedding day is very important. It will give me and my husband something to look back on and remember all the good times we had with family and friends as we celebrated our marriage. It also allows us to share our special moment with those who were unable to attend our wedding, but would love to see what it looked like. The moments from our wedding can not be duplicated and we would love to have them captured so that we can look and back and reminisce when we are old and gray
