Has anyone used the free anniversary nights from Dreams? Do they have to be used on the exact anniversary dates? I'm trying to get in touch with the resort but no one has got back to me yet?

That is awesome!! Congratulations!! We leave on 4/9/13, for our wedding week. Wedding is on Friday 4/12/13! Yesica is also our WC and she has been amazing. May I ask if you tipped her? I know that I will for sure because we've planned for 15 months and she has been so helpful, I just am not sure what is appropriate! I know what you mean about waiting to go back in a year. We went for a site visit in October and didn't want to leave! But the last 6 months flew by!

I am getting married at Dreams on 4/12/13. Have you done a site visit yet? We did ours in October and preferred the Cascada terrace. It is closer to the ocean for a better view and is right below the infinity pool! The Oceana side is lovely as well, we really enjoyed spending time on the "quiet side" while we were there but for us the Cascada seems like a much better choice for a reception. More upbeat and fun! The Oceana is adults only - I'm not sure if they enforce that for receptions though but just in case any children will be there, keep that in mind.

J0hanna, We are paying him about $250.00 an hour or so. We have him booked for 5.5 hours - he is also handling our ceremony music and cocktail hour. For those we have to make our won ipod playlist. He is great so far and answers my emails super quick. We met him at Dreams when we went in October for our site visit!

Looks like this happens often with them!! The first time I e-mailed them, they replied within a week giving me details on price and packages. The second time I e-mailed them telling them I would take the extra 3 hours, it seriosuly took them 2 months to reply. That is not a joke!!!! I continuously asked my wedding coordinator Yesica about it. She assured me that everything would be fine because they are on site and have more than one photographer for weddings. This I do know to be true since we did our site visit. It seemed like the photography booth was always busy. I have no idea why they take so long to reply. When they replied finally, they told me that they had me down for a total of 4 hours on April 12, 2013. That was all the email said - after waiting 2 months for the reply!!!! I e-mailed them back to see how I would pay. We are trying to pay for our entire wedding before we get there. But there reply just said, you pay us when you get here. They scheduled an appointment with us 3 days before the wedding to go over details and that was it!! So Ladies, it isn't only you!! I would definitely let your WC know that you plan on using them and ask her to verify that they have openings on your wedding days!! It also took the spa about a month to reply to book my hair and makeup appointment!! It's just the way it is there! and when you get there, you'll see how slow things seem to go!! Which is good when you're there but not so good when we are trying to plan our weddings!!! Hope this helped!!

Hi Melissa14 - our site visit was perfect! Much more than we expected! From the time we arrrived until we left, we were treated like royalty!

We are getting married at Dreams on 4/12/13. We did our site visit in October. We booked our airport transfers round trip through Amstar. Liz Zarate with Amstar was fabulous. She set us up with a free sunset cruise and all we had to pay for was transportation to and from the resort. So for round trip airport transfers, sunset cruise, and transportation to & from the marina we paid less than $200. We have decided to use Amstar for our wedding as well. If you check their website, you'll see they offer many different excursions and tours! You can also email Liz at [email protected] She is great & everything was perfect. There was someone waiting for us at the airport with our name on a sign, he spoke perfect English which was nice! He wasnt the driver but cane along with the driver to answer all of our questions, etc! Our trip to the resort was a quick 20 minutes or so! On the day of our cruise, The same driver arrived at the resort to take us to the marina and Liz was with him this time. She walked us directly to the marina dock and got us on the cruise. After our cruise she was waiting there again for us to get us back to the resort. I loved how personable everything was with Amstar. They were fantastic! Our WC put me in contact with Amstar and I couldn't have been happier with their service. Hope this helps you!!

Congratulations on booking your date! We are getting married at Dreams on 4/12/13! We did our site visit this past October and Dreams is fabulous! We got the Dreams of Love package and of course we wanted more photography so I asked my WC Yesica about hiring an outside vendor and getting credit for the included photography. She told me that they can not do that. The package is a set price whether you use everything included or not. I would assume that goes for hair & flowers as well. So what I did was contacted their in house photographer & we added 3 extra hours with them for $799. So now we get 4 hours instead of just one that's included plus a ton of extra photos. Our package includes the bouquet as well as 2 corsages & 2 boutonnières which they are allowing me to trade those 4 items for a maid of honor bouquet. I have also ordered 3 centerpieces for the reception tables through my WC and am paying $50 for each. I just thought it would be easier to use the WC than going through a florist. I've been told that if there are many things in the package that you don't want then it may be best to do everything a la carte. Have you decided on music? We have hired DJ Ricardo because our package doesn't include music. We do have to pay $90 for the outside vendor fee. I believe the package you chose includes one hour of music? When is your wedding date? I hope some of my info helped!!

I will be there at the same time! We actually just changed our wedding date to 4/12/13 - we plan on flying in on 4/9 through 4/15. Is Guillermo also your WC? We are booking the rooms directly through the hotel. They gave us a booking code for guests to book through the website. Zitlaly is the group coordinator there ans she has been really helpful. We are going to go sometime this fall to do the site inspection and I can't wait.

I was quoted as below: GROUP RATES: Junior Suite Ocean View $162 USD per person per night based in double occupancy x 2 persons = $324 USD per room per night based in double occupancy Junior Suite Ocean View $156 USD per person per night based in triple occupancy x 3 persons = $468 USD per room per night based in triple occupancy Junior Suite Ocean View $210 USD per room per night based in single occupancy I wasn't aware of the site visit being complimentary but that is awesome! It is included in my contract as well. I definitely want to take advantage of that! How was the weather in December? I'm thinking we'll probably try to take it sometime this winter as well. My room block cut off date is 11/10/12, so we may have to go before then. I am waiting on a reply from Zitlaly to let me know when we have to use that - who wouldnt take 2 free nights in Cabo??!!! Which meals did you like? Also, did you choose the beach wedding? We chose the ceremony on the beach and the reception at the cascada pool terrace. What about music? I see alot of people just rent the sound system which I think is what we want to do also. Do they provide music during the ceremony? I keep forgetting about that part!! See - i knew I was going to have a ton of q's for you!! We picked the wedding package that cost $2,199 - which includes quite a bit including my hair, makeup, etc. I have no plans of adding too much fancy stuff so we'll probably just stick with what comes with it except for the sound system rental!! We want to have a beach bonfire the night before the wedding and I want to do a trash the dress so with those extra charges, I think keeping the wedding package as is will be good enough!! Have you looked into group rates for your guests? I haven't gotten a reply from the group salesperson. I think her name is Zitaly. I want to get an idea of nightly rates for my guests! I plan to keep it under 20, hopefully! I hope your planning is going well!

That was the one thing that seemed easy for me! We researched about 10 - and we were looking for specific things at each - Dreams had everything we were looking for!! I have read a few negative reviews but I'm optimistic and the positives I've seen outweigh the negatives!! I just hope this year goes quick!

Just booked today for 4/4/13 at Dreams - my original email came from Guillermo, anyone know how he is? I'm still a year away and after reading so many posts about the WC, I'm sure I'll have a few over the next year! I'm still torn about the reception, beach front or pool? Any suggestions? Anyway, I'm super excited to get this planning going, and i can't wait to dig into this site and start getting ideas!!

Hey all, I'm LeAnn and stumbled upon this site and absolutely love it so I joined! I have already gotten so much useful info! Rich and I just got engaged last weekend!! It was very romantic with a serenade while he was on stage on Fremont Street in Las Vegas!!! P.S. We live in Las Vegas, and Rich is a part time musician, he plays downtown often! We met at Mickie Finnz and that is where we went with 14 of our friends on 2/18/12, where we surprised me with a proposal!! Ok with that being said, now a wedding has to be planned! It is a 2nd marriage for both of us, I am 34, he is 39! I have a 9 yera old daughter who I definitely have to have with me!!!! So one of my biggest concerns was a kid-friendly resort!! We have our hearts set on Cabo and after only a week of researching resorts, we fell in love with Dreams!! So that is choice #1!! Now since we arent planning for about 14 months or so, it's hard to actually book anything because we can't even get flight prices and hotel rates yet!! Or maybe we can but I haven't actually called the goup sales directly yet!! We have not set a specific date yet, and are very flexible depending on airfare and room rates between Feb and April 2013!! Anyone have any idea about those months? I think we may need to call a local travel agent to get good information possibly!!! Anyway - thats a bit of my story - can't wait to start reading all this information and get this planning underway!! So much to do!! xoxo
