  1. I am using the Bridal Suite as my wedding planner and they have been great so far (started working with them 6 months ago and my wedding is June 29,2012). At this point we have booked everything including photographer,DJ, ceremony on Warwick long bay beach, reception on the marina terrace at elbow beach, and florist all with the help and recommendations from Carmen and Allister at the bridal suite. I booked our accommodations on my own because I had the time to research the island and find the right place with the right price. My FI and I were planning on making a trip to Bermuda before the wedding but we decided to save that money and trust in the planners instead! The only thing left to do is book transportation from the ceremony to the reception since it is on a different beach. I have done tons of researching so let me know if I can help any new Bermuda brides in any way!
  2. tropicLover- Thank you for your input! I do see it as a waste of money to send invites to 80 people that I know for sure cannot make it! Some have emailed me and RSVP'd via the knot to let me know already that they cannot make it. I think I will just do invites for the people who are definites and maybe's! Makes sense to not put them through saying no again!
  3. Sharon-The hibiscus were in the running with me too! And those wicker tote bags that a lot of the girls talk about on here (I might still get those for my bridesmaids or some sort of personalized bag with their names). I ordered 20 bags (and enough items to go into 20 bags) so far because I plan on giving them to each couple (estimating 40 will make it). If not, I will just have to order more! I have a huge family so I had to invite everyone, even though I know only about 4 extended famly members can make it! Now I just don't know if I want to spend all the money and get those really cute passport invites for everyone, when I know about 80 can't even come! Would it be wrong to have separate invites for the people who said no?! We are having a home town cocktail party when we get back for those who cannot make it, so that is a whole other invite to think about!! Ahh! 20 people booked places so far! We are all renting cottages & houses around the Island because Bermuda doesn't have any block out room type of deals and it is reallllly expensive to stay in the hotels! We are staying in a hotel on the night of our wedding so I have a place to get ready and get hair and toes and all that fun stuff done with the girls!
  4. No problem, Sharon. I am going to check out minimus.biz now since you mentioned it! I have been comparing prices and trying to gather items for my OOT bags all summer! My Fiance thinks I am crazy, but when I look on here and see all of the other ideas and things people are doing, I always want more!! I just ordered the actual bags last week from vistaprint and I am super excited about getting them! As far as invitations, I have just started looking into them. I love Rebecca's work, so I will likely end up going with her! I'm sure you all have covered this already, but how many people are attending your wedding? I am not even sure how many are able to make it to mine, but I am guessing around 40. Not sure if I should be sending the invites to people who I know are not able to attend as they have told me already (we went std's to 120 people, but know many cannot attend already)?? Sorry so long! Any help would be great!!

  6. Hey ladies, I am crashing your May 2012 thread here (I am a June 2012 bride)! Hope you don't mind! :-) This is my first comment on BDW because I am still learning how to use it and feel a little overwhelmed with all of the threads and comments! Anyway, I wanted to let Sharon99 know that I did order items for my OOT bags about 2 months ago and the medicine (excedrin) doesn't expire until 2013! I bought individual travel boxes that contain two packets with two pills in each packet. I bought them on cheaptravelsizes.com for 89 cents each! I also found mini aloe lotion on there for about 75 cents each. I don't think the lotion or aloe will dry up before the wedding, so you should be good to start buying those! I do, however think the hand sanitizing wipes will dry out because I ended buying those at the dollar tree (I found boxes of 24 packets for a buck so I couldn't pass on it) but when I tried one out, it was already sort of on the drier side! Oh well! I will likely end up buying more hand sanitizers closer to the wedding! Hope this helps!
