  1. Hi Meitra! I was at MDC while you were there this week! Enjoy your wedding!
  2. @ gpendleton Hi! I am so happy your wedding went so well! Thank you for leaving the lanterns as I was planning to bring LOADs of my own! Our wedding is going to be at least 66 guests and as most people have smaller weddings I am a bit worried that they won't have enough of everything for our three night stay... But I am sure it will work out fine. Which photographer and florist did you use? Please send us some pictures of your day and set up! Congratulations!
  3. @sweetginger Hi! I have stayed at Couples Negril and Couples Ocho Rios and Moon Dance Cliffs. I have visited MDV but not stayed there. Couples is a really beautiful hotel but it is totally different from MDC! Couples hotels are massive properties in comparison to MDC. They have many restaurants, bars and lots of nice little qualities that make it a really nice hotel... For example, they have a turtle at one of their hotels, lots of grounds to roam around, tennis courts etc. etc. Most of the rooms are really nice, depending on if you stay in the refurbished part or not, but then that depends on whether you like your rooms modern with tvs etc or you prefer to totally get away. MDV is a different setting. The hotel is much smaller in size, there are not loads of bars and restaurants no grand lobby. But I would imagine that because of the size you get a much personal service and you get to spend more time with your guests. I was told I would get a private butler, chef and house maid with the villas. The rooms are big and spacious, although a little dated TBH. MDV is more of a home away from home. I prefer MDC because of the open layout. Also Couples is only couples only, whereas at Moon Dance you are allowed children... so it depends on what you are looking for. Hope this helps.
  4. Hi Everyone! I am curious to get peoples opinions on the Drinks plan Should we A. Put money behind the bar and let the bar be open until the tab runs out OR B. Pay per guest for an open bar ??? Normally in the UK we would put a set amount, say £1000 behind the bar and let the tab run dry but I'm not sure if the other option say paying $30 per guest for 2 hours of open bar would be better? Any thoughts? Also what premium drinks are you expecting at your wedding? Remember to check! Some places only offer local drinks!
  5. Hi MDC Brides! Can we discuss the wedding dinner! Has anyone requested a sit down plated dinner? This is something that I would prefer... Does anyone know what kind of drinks they have at the resort? I hope it isn't all local alcohol. My guests would be very shocked if there wasn't any Remy or Baileys or JD!!! What has everyone selected for their wedding meal? Has anyone tried the food at Moon Dance Cliffs??? Please share your thoughts and experiences!!!
  6. Hi! My wedding is booked at MDC for 24th July 2011!!! We visited both sites in October 2010 and are due to go back at the beginning of Dec to finalise everything! I can send you some photos if you like!
  7. Congratulations! Were you looking at Moon Dance Cliffs before? If so what made you change your mind? I am currently starting the process with MDC... don't want to regret it!
  8. Hi! I have booked MDC for next July! How have you found the resort so far? Are you ready? I will be in Jamaica on your wedding day! lol Hope you have a great day. Just looking for feedback from other brides!
