  1. Hiya Ladies, My June 15th wedding date is fast approaching. Trying to not think about it too much but everyone seems to be doing a countdown on our behalf. Needless to say, I'm starting to get the jitters, and just because it's a destination wedding, it doesn't mean you're not moved by the same worries of things going as planned. I'm excited, anxious, worried,.... You get the drift. Please help me reduce some stress by answering these questions for me: When and how does the WC set an appointment to meet you once you've arrived at the resort? What is the best and convenient way to pay for the wedding (cash, credit) - we want to avoid bringing too much cash with the risk of losing it and whatnot-? Who should get tipped after the wedding -I noticed gratuities are added to the package prices-? How much should the WC get for tip? Do they provide the wires to hook the ipod to their sound system - if not, will I have to bring my own? Phew! I think that's it.

  4. Hiya Ladies, Since you all provide faster replies than the wc, I'm hoping you can help me with this. Unfortunately, my FI has classes and will not be able to begin the wedding trip until the weekend before our Tuesday wedding in April. This means we can only be in Dr for 1 business day. Is this pushing it? Is it possible to organize as much as we can from here (i.e. cake selection, dinner choice, ceremony location, photographer) and on that 1 business day, we hand them our clothes for steaming and seal the rest? Technically, we have 1 1/2 days since the wedding isn't until the evening. Please tell me what you think based on your experience. BTW: this is a symbolic ceremony. Thanks.

  6. Thanks so much ladies for the words of encouragement. I really needed them b/c planning this wedding is hectic enough.
  7. Let the complaints roll  The family members who can't attend our wedding are starting to question the destination decision. The future hubby is starting to reconsider our destination plans. I wanted a destination wedding to avoid an overwhelming guest list/expenses. How have you all been able to minimize the stress? Also, if the guests can't afford to stay at your hotel, were any of you able to get their "non-guest" fees waived?  Hope to hear from you:-)
  8. According to my wc, you can have a friend perform the ceremony if you inform them that you prefer the symbolic ceremony. Otherwise, the symbolic ceremony is performed by the wc. Â hope this info helps.
