  1. We had our wedding at the 6PM time slot and it was perfect, but we had our reception at 7PM but it was at Kool Beach Club. There was enough time for everything. At first my wedding coordinator said that they could not do a ceremony any later than 5:30 but my on site coordinator said the 6pm slot was not a problem. I liked having it at 6pm because it was a little cooler, less people hanging around, and we didn't have breaks between parts of the wedding day.
  2. Here is the link to my photo book I made with the photographer's photos http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0IZsmTJm5asn3w
  3. 1. No rehearsal. I was worried about this at first, but it all went smoothly. The wedding coordinator is really good at what she does. 2. We did Asiana and Maria Marie for our two dinners. We had 24-36 guests at each dinner and the staff at the restaurants were able to help arrange tables of 8. I just grabbed a couple of friends to also reserve tables. 3. We used Derek Campbell from Photos in Cancun and could not be more pleased. His photography fit in our budget and we were satisfied with the overall quality of the pictures. He also gives you the CD originals at the end of the night. We are actually going back in October and will have him to a cenote/trash the dress session.
  4. Here is my review from my July 2, 2011 wedding. I will post pictures into my review when I have time to pick out my favorites. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/the-royal-in-playa-del-carmen-all-inclusive-spa-resort/reviews/4806
  5. I got the holders from http://www.beachaudio.com/Baumgartens/Bau-47840-p-406777.html and the bracelet to attach them from http://www.orientaltrading.com/whistle-expando-bracelet-key-chains-a2-20_45-12-1.fltr?Ntt=wistle
  6. I just got some information regarding day passes from my wedding coordinator and I thought I would pass it along. Right now they are running a special for 40% off day passes if you pre book them though the wedding coordinator when you purchase 3 days worth of passes (the three days you choose do not have to be consecutive) 9am- 5pm Per Person Normal Price: $85 40% off: $51 12pm-5pm Normal Price: $65 40%off : $40 9am-11pm Normal Price: $105 40% off: $63 They are also offering a 25% off wedding day only pass if your guests only want to get one day pass.
  7. I frequently read a wedding blog called weddingchicks.com. They have a store that sells super cute bags and tops. Today they have a mini tote that is under the "bridal party mini tote bags" for $3.00 but I also used a promo code for 50% off. The promo code is unclesam. You can personalize them. I got them made for all of my bridal party.
  8. I got 100 printed for around $130. I have a friend that does printing for a living so she was able to give me that contact.
  9. I paid a printer to print the inside pages. They printed, cut to size, and scored the pages. I have found several local printers (other than a Kinkos) that will print for very reasonable rates. Their rates are cheap enough for me not to waste my ink or time trying to print at home.
  10. I actually just did a google image search and found it. The image I found was not exactly what I was looking for, but I sent it over to 24hourartwork and they made the image in vector format so that it could be changed in photoshop.
  11. I am not sure if my invite will continue the travel theme only because my mom wants something more traditional. If that is the one thing she wants in the wedding.... I will give her that. Originally the passport was going to be the invitation. All I had to do was assemble them together and corner round. Luckily, I have some great friends and bottles of wine that made it go by quickly.
  12. I am finally mailing out my STD's and I could not be any more pleased with how they have turned out. The covers are made from navy blue card stock that has been pressed with a gold leaf stamp. I had these done at a printer but I did the art work. There are little details within the eagle like our wedding date year, our initials, and "love is patient, love is kind" on the script. The envelopes I purchased from www.paperpresentation.com in size A6 in a classic linen natural white and I also purchased the envelope liners from the same place. Page 1 is laid out like a typical first page in a passport, but has our wedding details. Page 2 has the save the date information Page 3 & 4 has information about the hotel and Playa del Carmen Page 5 & 6 have information about our wedding website and travel All of the inside pages are printed on a linen card stock. I used a corner rounder from the local craft store on all the corners. I attached the passport page to the cover using spray glue. I bound the pages with gold colored staples that I found at my local craft store. If you have any questions please feel free to ask
  13. I use the generic version of Latisse and I LOVE it. I have been using the drops for about two months and my eye lashes have come in darker and longer. My lashes are so long that it looks like I could have lash extensions. I found out about the generic version from Makeupalley.com. All you do is apply 1 drop of the latisse to a eye liner brush and apply it to the lash line every night. You can get the generic version for $10 from alldaychemist.com
  14. We are 13 years apart. I am 23 and he is 36.
