Hola! Me and FI are getting married January 14, 2011 at the Melia. We are flying in January 11. We booked Pastor York for the ceremony (excited about that)! We chose to have our reception at the Jellyfish Restaurant versus the Melia. Still looking for a photographer/videographer. I feel like there is soooo much to do! Fun, but stressful! Hello Wonderful Melia Brides! I am new to this thread, so I thought I would say hello! I am getting married at the Melia in the gazebo January 14. We are doing our reception at the infamous Jellyfish restaurant. All of this "planning from afar" stuff can get a little stressful! Does anyone else feel like they really have no idea what is going on? I am using a travel agent from Beach Bum Vacations who has so kindly dealt with the resort to get things booked, but even she has a hard time emailing me back with confirmation of things. I know this at least.... I wired my deposit to the resort, they confirmed my wedding date and time, my rooms and flights are booked! 7 months to go and I still feel like I have nothing accomplished! Hi Ladies, So, I booked the jellyfish for the 14th of January, but I haven't heard anything since. She did email me the potential menu and "open bar" options but I am kind of getting the idea that we can customize the menu? Also, did she email you with different pics of the decorations she offers? I am curious to see how much and what they consist of. If I could ask... what is the approx price of just renting the downstairs versus the whole restaurant? I originally was going to rent the whole place, but I don't really feel that is necessary anymore. Should I be concerned that I don't have a written agreement confirming our date there? Wow.... I might sound a little nerotic here! Just looking for a little advice from some more experienced DWB's here!
