  1. I'm new to the board, and to the idea of TTD photo sessions, but I have to say, your pictures have pretty much convinced me I've got to do it! We are having an AHR, which I'm wearing my dress to, so I won't be able to do it right after the wedding, but I think it would be worth it to take the dress and get a photographer to do it another time! You take gorgeous pictures!!
  2. Hey ladies, good to see theres others needing to shed a few last pounds. I recently bought Jillian Michaels (from the biggest loser) 30 day shred. The work outs are only 22 minutes long, but i feel like i get more out of them than I do spending 45 minutes running at the track. I have only been doing them for a few short weeks and I already can tell a difference in my legs. Plus, it was only $10 on amazon, instead of the much higher prices of some of the other videos!
  3. I really don't think you have anything to worry about if he is just going to a strip club. I used to go sometimes with my guy friends b/c it was open later than any of the local bars. The women dancing in these places are usually not very good looking, and keep in mind most of it is from a distance. That being said, there are tables around the outside and usually chairs right up along the edge of the stage. The men who sit right along the stage tend to spend a lot more money, and get a lot of personal action directly in front of them... I think you should discuss what lines you are comfortable and not comfortable with your fiance crossing. Having been there and seen what goes on, I would NOT be comfortable with my fiance sitting right up front with a view of everything, and yes, i mean everything, less than 2 inches away from his nose... However, I would have no problem with him sitting around a table with his buddies drinking some beer and watching the "show". The best thing you can do is be open with your fiance. If you really don't trust him, then you need to re-evaluate the situation and figure out why you dont trust him. You might be surprised by his response. Most guys I know don't really find strip clubs that appealing but they go b/c its the "guy thing to do". Also, I think your fiance may be upset if you pretend it doesnt bother you and he thinks you don't care what hes up to... Just my opinions... take them for what you will.
  4. Ok, I'm definately dying to know what the songs are that play through the slide show... i loved them!! and the pictures are gorgeous. We are booking a package deal in San Diego, which includes what they call a "professional photographer" I can't imagine that they will turn out as beautiful as these pictures!
  5. Mel, I absolutely love love love that Maggie dress. I wanted that one so badly, but felt like it didn't look appropriate for a wedding on me b/c I am bigger on top. I went with Carissa instead. Carissa - by Maggie Sottero
  6. I really like your idea of having the speeches at the rehearsal. I've been to several weddings lately where the speeches were long and included lots of inside jokes that most of the crowd didn't get. This way, the people at the rehearsal will be more likely to already know the story, and if they don't it won't be too hard to fill them in
  7. Well the wedding will be in San Diego, and our coordinator is taking care of getting the flowers for us there. We are having an "at home reception" though, probably in January or February. I have seen that you can order flowers in bulk from Fiftyflowers.com. Has anyone done this?? I don't know if I trust an online site for my wedding flowers...
  8. I also agree with just having a best man and moh. My fiance and I are doing the same. We are inviting all friends who would have been in our wedding party to be guests, but this way they don't feel obligated to spend the money if they don't have it, and we don't have to worry about evening out the numbers if one of my friends can't make it but all of his can.
  9. I had been planning a Summer wedding with lots of bright pink and orange flowers (lillies, calla lillies, and maybe some gerberas). Due to my fiance's job training, we are moving our wedding up to late December. I cannot find any winter flowers that I like. Do you all think I could do the pink and orange summery flowers even though they aren't all in season, and the colors don't really fit the winter season?
  10. I am going with a traditional wedding dress by Maggie Sottero. I did; however, pick one with a very short train because I didnt want to be draging sand behind me. I also picked one that is rapshody taffeta instead of the silk one i also liked b/c the taffeta is not too heavy and hot.
  11. Maybe use the orchids, lillies, and calla lillies for your own bouquet because they are more expensive. And then you could still use the other flowers you like in your bridesmaids bouquets. I am considering similar flowers, but in white, fuscia, and orange. I will probably limit it to Lillies and calla lillies though because I want those ones in particular to stand out!
  12. Hey all, My fiance and I are currently trying to plan a San Diego Wedding for Dec. 29, 2009. We are having a bit of a time crunch due to training for his new job, and therefore would like to book pretty quickly. We are talking with Jacquelyn at Sandiegodestinationweddings.com. Has anyone else booked through there? We are considering the La Jolla Cliffside wedding site with a reception at Georges at the Cove. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks for your help, Beth
