We are getting marred at RMB on 6/8/10. We are doing the free package also, Nora said that there is no limit on the number of guests for the free package, but you would have to pay extra for the cake and champagne.

Congrats and good luck! We are getting married at RMB on June 8, 2010. I have the date reserved but haven't officially confirmed yet, still waiting on pricing from TA, but Nora said I have 90 days to actually confirm so that gives me a little time to get good rates.

I don't think they have a per charge rate. From what I was told you just have to pay for a bigger cake and more wine if you want to. That's why I picked RIU because at other resorts it was like $30 per person after 8 and I thought that could get a little expensive. It also doesn't make sense that they would charge you that much extra when those people are staying at the resort. I figured at 30 people, I would have to pay an extra $1000, that's why I chose RIU. Also, when I questioned about extra people they didn't say anything about a per person charge, just that we would have to upgrade the cake and wine if we wanted to.

I am getting married at RMB in June 2010, we are doing the free package and I inquired about it since we will have about 30 people and here is the response I got back. Dear Amber, I kindly inform you that you may apply for a Free Wedding Package when you book 5 or more rooms at the wedding destination of your choice. There is no maximum amount of guests, as long as 80% of the guests stay at the same resort where you will celebrate your wedding. If you guests amount exceed the 10 guests, you will have an extra charge just for the Wine and Cake. Looks like you just have to pay extra for the wine and cake.

I picked the RMB after much back and forth. I don't know what package you are thinking about or how many people attending or when, but I did see that in order to get the free package, you have to have 10 rooms booked at ROR, whereas you only have to have 5 booked at RMB. In looking at information I got when I recieved my confirmation code it looks like maybe the free pkg isn't available in 2010 for RIU Negril or ROR. Here is what it said at bottom of email. * Weddings by Riu kindly reminds you our policies state that 80% of the total wedding guests must stay at the same Riu hotel where the ceremony will be performed. They also require the booking of at least 5 rooms on the chosen wedding destination resort in order to qualify to receive a Free Package. Please note that our Free Package is only available at Riu Montego Bay and Riu Palace Tropical Bay.

So, I am having a reception back home a couple weeks after we return from our DW. I was wondering what do do about attire, should the bridal party all where what they wore at the DW?? And should we wear our same attire? Any help would be appreciated!

At RMB you only have to have 5 rooms booked for the free package for 2010. Maybe this will help!

Your pics are great! I see you did the free package. That's what I am thinking about doing, but I see where it says 10 people and we are going to have about 30.
