  1. Hey I dont get on this much so i prob wont reply after this but i just wanted to tell you that the Iguanas/Ranas villas were absolutely AMAZING! So beautiful and perfect. you can email at [email protected] if you have any more questions.

  3. My fiance and I took our first trip together to Cuba in Jan 08'. We LOVED it and are going back for our honeymoon after our wedding in Cozumel. We are from the US, but it is quite simple to travel to Cuba. We may be braver than others, but really its soooo easy! All you have to do is fly to Cancun, buy a ticket to Cuba there and you're set. As long as they dont stamp your passport you are in the clear. They will give you a small piece of paper to put inside your passport, thats all. If you have the chance... GO TO CUBA! We have traveled to many places and Cuba still holds a very special place in my <3... it is wonderful! I selfishly hope that the ban isn't lifted before our honeymoon... its fun being the only Americans around!
  4. We too have been contemplating whether we should do the legal stuff before or in Mexico. Right now we have it planned to take care of legal stuff in Mexico but after thinking about it... it might make more sense to do it before. Reasons: We are moving to Africa (for a few yers) less than a month after the wedding... if we make it legal beforehand, I can take care of all the name change stuff, including my passport. Does anyone know if this is necessary to change? Seems like it would make things easier if had it change... The Mexican rule that you have to have the officiant speak Spanish and all that... Ideally we would like to have our good friend be our "officiant" .. if we made it legal beforehand, we can do whatever we want for the ceremony right? And then theres the blood work and all that... If anybody knows more about name changing and traveling please let me know!
  5. Welcome! I'm a Cozumel bride also... We are getting married in front of the Residencias Reef on San Francisco beach. I think its only going to cost a couple hundred for the ceremony site. But we're paying tons for the wedding planner to take care of all the rest! Did you get a planner? We also are renting out a couple of villas on the beach for a week. We are letting the "wedding party" (all of the youngins) stay with us there for free. And the reception is going to take place here also. Going to be sweet! Other than that, I think we are taking a sunset sail for the rehearsal dinner and thats all the plans we have. Let me know if you have any questions!
  6. Thanks everyone! now if I can just figure out all these acronyms ya'll use- I think I'll be ok! Couldn't figure out for the longest time why everyone wants to talk all about their STDs...
  7. Hey guys! I'm getting married in Cozumel, Mexico Aug 8th. I'm soooo stoked and so is everyone else that is invited. We are hoping to keep the number at 50, but it seems like everyone is looking for a vacation! I;m new at this forum thing, but it seems very helpful and I already got a few new ideas from everyone. I look forward to getting to know everyone a little bit better... Anyone else out there a Cozumel bride? Jess
