The Riu resorts acomadate all sorts of weddings. I am almost positive that you can have a beach wedding. Although it will probably not be a private beach but from what I have read and heard most resorts do try and make the area you are being wed at as private as possible. There are a few Riu brides around here mostly Cabo though. In the tool bar under search type in Riu and you are bound to get a lot of helpfull information.

In order to get married on a private beach, you may have to either not do All Inclusive, or leave the all inlcusive resort and have the wedding ceremony at a different location. This can get confusing and be sort of a pain for your guests but it can be done. I have not looked to much into this so I dont have that much information. Ann can probably help you more.

Here is a link to a wedding slideshow of a bride and groom at the El Dorado Royale. This resort is not known for its great beach, but it can give you an idea of what an All Inclusive adults only beach wedding might be like. It is not a "private" beach but you can see that they do a good job at sort of sectioning off the wedding area! Turn the volume up also, the music is buetifull. Van Morrison.

I have been to the RUI Palace Mexico. Very nice. Beach is nice, but pretty crowded (during high season). Also, when I went a lot of the beach had eroded and caused a large drop off right before the water… but everywhere in Playacar was like that. Still a very beautiful resort! They also have a really nice chapel inside in case of bad weather. Just let me know if you have any specific questions about the report. Oh also, if you stay there, your guests have the option of staying at the 3 other sister Riu resorts surrounding it to make it a little more affordable. The Yucatan is probably the next one down in preference under the Palace. If you stay at the Palace, you could go visit friends and family at the sister resorts but they canâ€t come see you (you might like the alone time). They all share the same beach though. Hope this helps!

Another nice resort to consider is Excellence Riviera Cancun - Excellence Group Resorts

I am getting married there and I chose this resort for it's beauty, many restaurants/bars, lots of pools and consistently great reviews on Reviews of vacations, hotels, resorts, vacation and travel packages - TripAdvisor.

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
