OK I/we have put the deposit down on our wedding thewave.gif I am excited. Still havent fully told people because he want me to have a ring blah.gif. I am dealing with that. But here comes the straw that broke the camels back.

The WC emails me and says tell me what you two envision for your wedding day. girl_werewolf.gif UHHH what? I have to plan this thing. Ok? what do I want. girl_werewolf.gif I HAVE NO FRICKEN CLUE. I cant even decide decisively on the colors. I wanted/wantpurpleand sienna sunset or dark/burnt orange.but do they really go?

girl_werewolf.gif I cant see anything other than standing on the beach with a setting sun saying I DO to the man of my dreams.

OK WHERE DO I BEGIN?

WHAT DO I TELL THE WC?

WHAT ARE MY COLORS?

Just have seen some pictures on her website. Nothing else. I told her what I liked but it seems like it is not coming together with out a color. Do I really need to choose a color. I like the colors of the tropic. Cant I just do black and white me in white girls in sand and tropical flowers and let nature do the rest?

Oh Catherine, you are so cute! First of all, are these things you need to deal with RIGHT NOW? Colors & flowers & stuff?

When she asks you what you envision for your wedding day, maybe you should just tell her what you said above - "standing on the beach with a setting sun saying I DO to the man of my dreams." That's a great start!

For the most part, things like flowers can be choosen much later than 10 months out from your wedding date.

Breathe! Be calm. One step at a time. You've got your venue, your dress & a photog, right? Those are the big deal things in my opinion.

You will be fine. I remember having a freak out when we decided to get married. With in days of announcing our engagement I had people asking me "so, what are you colors?" WHAT? Are you friggin high? I just got engaged!!

I think there is this invisible bridal pressure that hits all of us when we realize we are planning a wedding, and we've never done that before!

Catherine, I agree with Christa, just tell the WC exactly what you told us - you envision your wedding as you and your man on the beach saying "I do". There is no need (in my opinion) to have to know your colors and everything else right now. Relax, it will all come together, and all of us here will help you every step along the wayhug2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
