Please Help With Beach Wedding Dress!

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I am getting married in few months. My fiance and I have decided to tie the knot on a beach. The thing is he is really into the idea of me wearing my traditional dress on our wedding day, while many of my friends just go against it as they said it looks way too formal for such a care-free wedding style. I'm really confused right now and need your opinions! Please tell me what you think about the dress (I post a picture here). Do you really think it is not suitable for a beach ceremony? Please help me... Thank you ????

That is a beautiful wedding gown and I think if it's what you want to wear, then you should! While some people have an idea of what a beach wedding gown should look like, it's ultimately up to you to make your wedding vision come to life. Since your gown is fairly covered up and has sleeves, depending on where you're getting married at, just keep in mind you may get very hot especially if you're getting married in a location with high temps and lots of humidity -- this could lead to lots of sweating, which will show in your photos. But again it really depends on your location, time of year and most importantly, what you want :) Hope this helps!

Your dress is gorgeous, I wouldn't change it.  Very unique, it looks lightweight so I don't see a problem wearing it on the beach!  I'm also getting married on the beach and found a lightweight lace dress and I love it.......you need to wear what you feel beautiful in!

That is a beautiful dress, and if you don't mind wearing it on sand, then by all means wear it, is it comfortable, lightweight and make you feel pretty? there you go it's up to you.congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
