@@DinaQtobe regarding the discount room rates for our wedding guests they stated to go through a travel agent ? What did u end up doing ? , and was it even that great of a discount as oppose to guests just going their own way and booking through online sites.

We booked through bookit.com (USD to CAD was pretty similar at the time).  We had guests coming from all over Canada and the US, and they all booked on their own.   A travel agent will be beneficial if you have multiple guests flying out of the same location.  This way you might get some promo - ie every 12th guest is free.  I knew that we weren't going to have enough guests flying out of one location to make having a TA worth it for us.   I am not sure if you are in Canada or the US - it changes your options a bit.  We flew down on West Jet and they took such great care of us when they saw my wedding dress.  I just booked our travel for my sisters wedding and booked hotel and air separately as we found a great deal on the hotel and got a seat sale through West Jet.  Some of your guests are going to need help booking (I had to help book my entire husband's side of the family which was a little bit of stress and a lot of work to get them all together at once).

You will not be disappointed with the Now Sapphire!  We upgraded to the preferred status and I felt it was worth it - for the Adults only pool alone.  AND you get to reserve chairs on the beach!

Let me know if you have any other questions.

@@DinaQtobe Thanks so much for your response! We are in the US and the majority of us with the exception of 4 guests all live in the same state, (we have a small guest list 20-30). I will definetly look into the upgraded room, my fiancé and i love the beach so the reserved chairs sounds nice ! Question, i know we don't necessarily plan until 2-3 months before i believe, and costs depends on the extras we choose , my fiancé and i have a budget of 10k for the wedding, if possible our travel expense too, but we will save an extra3k for travel expense if we can't budget it to 10k for both, do you think that is manageable there at NOW?

You can absolutely do your wedding for 10K, even with travel.  We only upgraded on flowers - 3 bridesmaid bouquets and 2 extra boutonnieres.  I had very simple decor that I brought myself and we brought our own bluetooth speaker system down with us.  All in (dress, suit, invitations, rings, wedding party gifts, favors, travel, and wedding package) we  came just over $10,000.  Keep in mind this was almost 3 years ago and prices have changed a bit. We splurged in some places and kept a tight budget in others.  You have to be willing to do your research on how to save money.

@@DinaQtobe thank you so much for taking the time to respond on my post ! i greatly appreciated ! I must say , that my fiancé and i have finally decided on NOW Sapphire, we are currently in communication to try to save a date ! We are wanting a beach ceremony and the tequila terrace for the reception/cocktail hour. Im getting exited and cannot wait for the day even though its a ways away!

Hi! So glad to meet another 2018 bride :) We also have decided on Now Sapphire for our 2018 wedding. I've spent countless hours on this site and it gives you so much valuable information. Now Sapphire plans beautiful weddings and you get a lot for your money there. We have a strict budget and are planning for no more than 35 guests. If you are willing to do the research you will not be disappointed.... there are a lot of ways to cut costs to make sure you have your dream wedding within your budget. Also we are going through Wright Travel Agency, we have Babs as our TA and I must say she is AMAZING. If you haven't already, check out Now's special offers http://www.nowresorts.com/offers they have some good promotions that will help you with costs as well.

There is a forum on here dedicated just to Now Sapphire there are a lot of pages but lots of good information and the brides are very nice.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
