Hi Everyone,

 

This is my first post, we are not technically engaged yet but have picked the ring and have started planning.

 

We are looking at the Barcelo Maya Colonial and Palace. We would be flying from Calgary and everyone else from Toronto. We would be inviting a total of 38 adults and 8 kids. We would als9 be booking the airtransat euphoria wedding package.

 

Does anyone have any experience with booking this wedding package? We would be doing a symbolic ceremony in Mexico, would be still need a judge?

 

Has anyone booked the Barcelo Maya? Any tips?

Welcome Sarah and congrats!

 

I'm not a Barcelo bride but I am from Calgary :)

 

From my experience when you book a symbolic the hotel will have someone do the ceremony for you. You don't pay extra for the minister. Where I got married it was an actual minister but sometimes your WC or someone who works at the resort may also do it, as it's not legal. Your wedding department should be able to answer that.

 

If you search the Barcelo on the search bar up top you will find some active threads for your resort. I know their are a few brides on here right now planning weddings there.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
