Jamaica Wedding?

Recommended Posts

Newly engaged!!

We're thinking a rocky shore destination wedding. I was thinking Jamaica might be a good choice.

Location recommendations for affordable not large chain wedding? Birth on Jamaica and other islands

I got married in Jamaica almost 4 years ago at the Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica in Runaway Bay. it's a fairly large resort but we still felt it was small enough that it wasn't overwhelming. However it does belong to the Bahia chain of hotels.

Definitely find a good travel agent and tell them what you're looking for. They're the best ones to help you with your budget, your must haves and the budget amount for your guests.

Good luck!

@@Mpitarresi......I am getting married in Jamaica.  Negril has a more rustic feel and is wonderful with the cliffs.  I am getting married at Jewel Paradise Cove which is a smaller, adult only resort that has that rustic feel as well.  There are some beautiful smaller intimate resorts and some villas that you can rent to have a beautiful wedding.

I second @@acw271011....a good travel agent will guide you in the right direction.  I was originally scheduled to marry at the Royalton White Sands, after a failure to honor agreed upon reservations, I had to change resorts.  My travel agent was able to help me get a new resort and move all of my guests.

Good luck in planning!!!!

@FutureMrsGlover  Oh my goodness - I just realized your wedding date is so close!!! You're just 10 days before our renewal. What on earth happened with your resort? I'm sorry - I've been so out of touch since about mid July and I'm still trying to get caught up!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
