@@calgarybride2015 Thank you. I'm really stressing out about those prices though. Honestly having traveled in Mexico before, these prices seem so high! My FI's family has traveled too, so i'm not sure what their reaction will be to find out they have to pay $1400-$1500 for a trip they can book for $1000.

But you're right, I can't take the "last minute" risk on my wedding. Maybe some of my friends that are on a tight budget will be able to book it separately last minute.....not sure.

I'm stressing out about my guests' cost, instead of my wedding.....LOL so backwards! haha

Nope your stress right now is normal. I lost sleep. My head spun. I was so worried about people not coming based on the price. When I went to Mexico in 2013 I paid low $1400's for April so high $1500's for January seemed ludacris. But I chose a range that I was comfortable to pay. Like I said for us thankfully you could never get a better price. The last minute people paid way more AND almost didn't get to come. Our resort would be off Expedia then back on etc. Was tense for those people. The people who booked alone though weren't hoping for a deal just hadn't had work approved or what not.

I feel your pain. I don't even know what to suggest. All I can say is maybe you explain to your family that this gaurentees you are on the plane and at our resort.

Some people may surprise you for the good and some for the bad lol

It's a whirlwind. This is the hardest part IMO.

@@Ruzanna don't worry you're not alone! I agree with @@calgarybride2015 that this is definitely the hardest part and the most stressful. It is also hard when you are trying to pick a resort that the majority of your group will like, then your factor in the time of year you want to travel, how our economy is doing and all the different gates your guests are leaving from it will sometimes make you just want to run away and elope! BUT it does get better - I promise!! You'll find the right resort for you and some of your guests might really surprise you with their reactions and who ends up booking right away. Our first bookings were co-workers, ironically family and close friends came later.

I have a feeling that the prices should be lower for GS once they get the official quotes back. Karen originally gave me a quote from GS as well . Ultimately it wasn't the right fit for our group but we were initially interested in that property as well. Our quote for Jan 2016 (quote was back in Nov 2014) was $1472 for a double occupancy….so I would imagine it should be considerably less for September travel dates. Like calgarybride2015 said year to year prices always go up but hopefully it is still close to your price point.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
