Hello everyone! I am planning a May 2007 wedding in the Riviera Maya. I have a few guests that will be bringing their children so I am having difficulty deciding where to stay. Does anyone have wedding pics or heard anything about -Iberostar Lindo, Barcelo Tropical, or Dreams Tulum.... or have any other suggestions of nice hotels? I am looking for an AI hotel with a very nice beach and good sand (not too many rocks or sea-weed if possible). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! V

Hi there, I'm getting married in June at the El Dorado Royale. Its an adults-only, but depending on the age of the kids, their other properties might be appropriate, http://www.karismahotels.com/ Unfortunately I haven't been to the resorts you mentioned, but I have also been to the Moon Palace and it is family friendly. When I visited there, they said there was seaweed but they cleaned the beach each morning and I didn't see any during my visit.

Welcome!!!! The Iberostar properties are great for kids and adults...I have stayed at the Iberostar property in Dominican Republic and loved their service and it's a great family atmosphere...sorry can't comment on the ones in RM. I am pretty sure they are consitent in all their locations; it is a very large chain.

They have great activities for kids, they have the Star animation (I think that's what they are called) and they will entertain the children so you can concentrate on your wedding.

Good luck with the planning, let us know if we can help you in any other way

Welcome V,

Tammys right there are so many options when it comes to the RM. I am looking into the Occidental Grand Xcaret as my first option. Child friendly and not to expensive, but the beach there is man made... Its more known for their great pools. The RM has wonderful blue carribean beaches though so I"m sure you wont have a problem finding one that suits your needs. Let us know how we can help.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
