Hi

 

I am getting married at the Riu Yucatan in Oct 2015 - I am looking for some help and advice for every aspect of the wedding from deciding if I get married on the beach or in the gardens to what  photographer to use.  I have 22  guest coming over to join us so would love to hear from anyone else who was married here or is getting married at this Hotel- pics would be great

We stayed there over the summer, talked to the coordinator, and saw a few events during the week. Congrats! The resort is gorgeous and we had a great time! There is a bar by the pool that is closer to the lobby that she said is possible to a cocktail/reception which is really cool. We saw it set up and it's gorgeous. Not sure if I have pictures of it still. We saw a garden  wedding set up and it was by the lobby and in between rooms, not sure if they have options for it but we thought the location was weird. Word of advice for the beach, if you can have the ceremony see if you can time it after the swim up bar closes. In October it'll prob be okay since it may not be that crowded but when we were there is was pretty lively and close to a ceremony going on, which seemed early. The beach and water is gorgeous so it depends what you're going for!

I'm getting married there April 2015! 

We've opted to get married in the garden. I saw a couple of wedding videos on youtube of beach weddings there and there seemed to be a lot of people in the background and not very far away either! The pictures our wedding coordinator sent us of the garden set up looked nice. If you're interested, I can send them along to you.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
