    Hi,

We are just in the process of planning and picking destinations.. WE really wanted to do sky lanterns and originally we were looking at Tulum but since it is not allowed we are checking other areas.. But I have a feeling they may not be allowed anywhere...

Is there a list anywhere of who allows them, or at least had them in the past year or so?

    Thanks

Las caletes in the puerto Vallarta area allows them. Adventure weddings handles this location if you searched their website. It's not a resort itself, it's an off site location.

    Good luck

Because of the reef, I wouldn't count on any resorts in RIv Maya to allow them. My resort (Dreams Riviera Cancun) doesn't allow fake flower petals either because it's a protected wildlife area. I think that's great though :-) though I LOVE the lanterns!
