I'm Coming Back.... Slowly

Hi ladies,

Wow - you have no idea how much I have missed this site!!  I so can't wait to see all the news and updates!

As of today, I'm finally going to start stopping in to the site. It will be in bits and pieces for now, but hopefully in another week or 10 days, I'll be able to actually keep track of what's going on. I know there is a ton to catch up on!

It has been a much longer haul than hubby and I expected. I thank God every day that I'm married to my best friend in the world and a very special man. I couldn't have made it this far without him!  I ended up with a  second 3 day hospital stay for infection for which we now have daily wound care. Stairs are a chore, which unfortunately our house has many of, so I tend to try to get myself in one place and stay there for a while. We're still on the watch for fever and another emerg hospital stay is still "out there" depending on how things go over the next couple of days. The excellent part is that since I really started working at it plus all this stuff, I've now lost about 20 lbs! Yay me!

My husband had his "most embarassing moment" earlier in the week and during a particularly difficult deal at the hospital passed out for the first time in his life! Thankfully we had a really quick doctor right there that caught him as he went down or his head would have hit something really hard. My hero! We're waiting now to see what my doctor has to say to him when we see him in about 10 days because the doctor that caught him going down was my doctor's colleague! lol  Scared the beejeezuz out of me when it happened, but we laugh about it now, and hubby knows he'll never live it down!!  Sometimes you just have to find the lighter moments......

I hope everyone is getting through their planning. I know there are quite a few dates coming up quickly. Hopefully I'll be able to get reading soon!

Cheers!

Xoxoxo so glad to see you here! But so sorry to hear that recovery has had a few bumps along the way... Fainting by the DH- awwwwww poor thing! Been there! (Passed out while holding a cup of tea when my kids were in the NICU after complications at birth- dropped and spilled the tea in a puddle around me- I came to and realized people would assume I wet myself and quickly proclaimed "it's tea not pee" over and over,,, gave the doctors a good chuckle I'm sure!

Can't wait to have you back more often but TAKE IT EASY and don't push it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
