Do you happen to know if we would have to pay the $500 resort fee for a photographer if the photographer was part of our wedding party and also staying at the resort??! I can't seem to find the answer to this question. We are going to barcelo maya palace deluxe in riviera maya:)

Generally you will find that as long as they are a paying guest (a lot of times for a minimum of 2 nights or more depending on the resort) they won't charge you the outside vendor fee. Having said that, I've heard over my time here that Barcelo resorts can sometimes be a bit difficult to work with so I would still get in touch with your WC just to be absolutely certain.

Good luck!

I would still ask your resort, logically they shouldn't charge you, but my resort said they still would  charge the vendor fee just not the one day pass fee. I think the vendor fee is ridiculous and I fought it just explain to them you are bringing a lot of business to their resort by having your wedding there both from all the guests that will be attending and the actual wedding costs them self. Most of the times they will work with you and potentially reduce it but YMMV.

My resort didn't charge if they stayed the week with us. I'd check to be sure so you have no surprises. Can't recall if my contract said 3 or 7 consecutive nights.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
