Nicki's Vistaprint Journey! Meet The Guests, Brochures, Luggage Tag

Recommended Posts

As promised I wanted to keep posing as I work on things.  I am still deciding what excursion we want to do on Saturday, so that isn't finished yet.  Otherwise my wedding pre-travel brochure is ready to go.  I also made business cards of my Wedpics site.   I will send these with the pre-travel brochure, again with the welcome bags, and will have them available at my wedding shower.  I want all my guests to be able to utilize the site.

Awesome job!

Couple questions for you -- how do you change the background color? is it a template or a feature on the customization bar? (can't seem to find it lol)

Also, would you be willing to share how you duplicated the wedpics graphic(s) into Vistaprint? I assume you just found the graphic online and imported it as an image?  I am also using wedpics and thought their prices to buy cards was ludacris.

You actually can't customize the background colors from what I can see on VistaPrint.  My wedding colors happen to be aqua and purple.  You can customize the font though.

Yes WedPics prices for their cards was outrageous.  If you go on their site you can actually download a copy of your cards.  Here is how:

  • log in to your wedpics account
  • on the left hand column click on order app cards/props
  • from there click "print your own"
  • You can change the colors on the screen.  Change the colors first to the ones you want.
  • click download front, it will download to your computer and you can save it as an image.
  • do the same thing for the backside.
  • log into your vista print account, and you can upload these photos for the business card by selecting upload a design.

Hope this helped :)

You are awesome! Thank you!

I had planned to just make something up myself but would prefer this route.

I've pretty much figured vistaprint out other than the background color lol

I have a huge project list!! Just awaiting all my final info and engagement pictures to add to it and I will fill a huge order.

Did you snag that groupon?

Yes I got the groupon.  Paid $27 for a $70 giftcard.  However after purchasing I realized that you can't combine with any vistaprint coupon codes.  I still feel like I got a decent deal though.  I ordered 50 of the menus for our reception and 250 of the WedPics business cards.  I wound up spending another $7.  So $34 total for everything which isn't too bad.

The groupon I got was $60 of product for $30 - but I am in Canada.

Even if the cards are under $10, and the brochures are around $20, you can still produce a lot.

For the cards, I just use the 'personal' ones because they come in 50, and I won't need more than that as we only have 45 guests!

I figure for $60, I can get my brochures, and 4-5 cards (maybe more if there is a sale!) for my oh shi!t tags, maracas tags, this bag belongs too tag, and wedpics.  If I can get another one in, I will do my luggage tags too (but kind of want a variety so may not use Vistaprint)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
