What Are You Doing For Your Guestbook?

Recommended Posts

I am doing a postcard guestbook.

I had my friend buy 40 postcards in Mexico for me and I plan to have everyone sign them and put them in this little treasure chest box I bought.

Hopefully people share postcards or I will buy more when we arrive. Didn't think we would hit the 40 mark.

I plan to personalize the back a bit with our info as well.

Hi!

There are SO many ideas out there!  We decided to get a little box, then buy a ton of post-cards from our destination.  That way people can choose something nice, or something ridiculous, and it's all unique and personalized.  A lot of my partner's friends might write WAY out there statements - this lets them choose a ridiculous card to write it on and enjoy themselves.

ah i like that!

my idea so far was that I bought a coffee table book which is paperback though with all photos of Puerto Vallarta. The only one I could find on Amazon was used so the cover was a bit beat up, so I was thinking of going to Papersource and buying some nice paper with a sea or mexican theme to cover the book, and then have guests sign the pages and write a note

My second idea was doing a photo mat they sign and after you frame it with your wedding picture.

I read a post on here that someone got drunk and left a very rude comment that she can't cover up and now it's ruined. So that made me feel better I didn't go that route.

I am super stoked about the postcards, and yes you could make them on Vistaprint, but.... just think you could get ones from your destination with have more meaning AND they should be a lot cheaper :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
