That's exciting!  Its a new chapter in your lives, that's what I keep telling myself every time something new pops up.

I'm really excited for him, this is a wonderful opportunity.

I am an army brat and a nurse...so moving and finding a job isn't a big deal... it's just on top of the wedding is what makes it difficult.

I just hope our first year of marriage isn't too terribly strained by all of the big changes happening at once.

But, it's the challenges that bring people closer.

So, bring it on!  ;)

Amen, to challenges bringing people closer!  At least you will have about 6 months to settle in before the wedding.  I knew we would have a ton of stuff going on towards the end of summer/ beginning of fall so I tired to get a bit ahead of schedule with the planning.  Next big thing on my list is getting a dress!

Wow that is definitely stressful but very exciting! We moved cross country last August so I can imagine everything you're thinking about! Well we're not buying a house or anything but my biggest stress is money! We have zero money saved as I am the only one working (Fiancée injured his back and hasn't been able to find a new job) so he'll be going back to school next month. It just makes saving for a wedding that much harder with only one income. The only saving grace is that he got a lot of financial aid for school and his tuition is only a small percentage of that so he'll be able to use that money towards the wedding. Just want to fast forward a few years to already having a house and being married and being financially where we want to be :(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
