Any 2015 Grand Palladium Brides?

Recommended Posts

I am VERY excited to be going back! :) can't wait to be back by the adult pool or down by the beach :) :) or dancing on an evening!

We booked ours through a travel agent here in the uk at the beginning of July so waiting to hear on an exact wedding date and to get an email address for one of the wedding planners.

We are going with the gazebo because that's where he proposed and as you will know it's very nice and private. Looking at the cocktail hour after that and then meal in restaurant I think. Sorted a reception out for when we get home. How about you? And have you booked or looked at booking anyone for hair and makeup? X

Congratulations everyone!  I'm getting married at the Grand Palladium in March 2015.

Anyone hear any reviews on their spa?  I'm a little nervous to just go with them because I cant find reviews on their hair salon.  Is anyone going with an outside vendor?  If so, how much does it cost to bring them onsite for the morning?

Hi Deanine!

I am also looking for reviews on the spa hair and makeup service but can't find any. The hotel charges you a rediculous amount of around 300usd to bring a vendor into the hotel. A lot of makeup artists around jamaica use airbrush which looks great but I don't know what they use in the spa..if you find out please let me know won't you :) how are your plans coming along? And congratulations!! :)

I've read some reviews and spoken to someone who's been to a wedding there.  Nobody seemed to be happy with the hair styling, at least not thrilled and someone even took their hair out and redid it.  I've eben hearing great reviews about Rashel from Chasity Artistry so that is who I just ended up booking.  When I spoke with her she said that a lot of the resorts know her and most of the time you can just get her a day pass if you're nice to your coordinator :)  I thought it was worth the risk of paying a little extra.  Plus, you're saving money on the hair anyway so it should come close to evening out.  And I felt more comfortable going with someone who has great reviews and pictures of work she has done.  She's on Facebook too so you can see her work, just look up Chaisty Artistry.  Here is the email I received from her regarding pricing and makeup applciation.

There is a us200 base rate this includes the brides makeup, lashes and my travel from Kingston then it's us75 per hair and us75 per makeup bridesmaid makeup.

yes you get to choose airbrush or regular but it is the same price. Lashes are included. They know me very well at the resort so just be nice to your wedding planner and you will only be charged for day passes!! iv seen it happen lots of times instead of the 300

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know when I first booked my wedding at the grand palladium, I had created a page on facebook for grand palladium brides, problem is I didnt know any! LOL  But, when I was looking at iberostar for the wedding i saw that they had one and I thought it was such a great idea.  I know we have the forum here, but sometimes it cant get a bit difficult to find things.  I've uploaded and will continue to upload documents containing prices and information for for everything to do with having your wedding in Jamaica at the grand palladium.  Please feel free to add to these documents and submit new info!  The more people that join the more information we'll have.  If know of any past brides, please let them know too as information from them would be a great value!

Congratulations again, everyone!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
