Hello everyone!

 I am writing this to help my better half to get more info on the subject and hopefully narrow some ideas down to where when and how. I am asking for as much info as you people can spare. I want the good the bad and the ugly. Its her day so I want to make it the best that I can for her with as little stress.

 

We are looking for a destination wedding. Late Dec early Jan, Somewhere warm, Sikh wedding theme. Gonna high ball the amount of people to be safe. 150-200 people hoping to be with in $1200-$1600 travel cost for people. What do we need to fly down for the wedding (DJ,Photo. ect.) Keeping budget fairly high since I know it will be extra cost for that many people. I am expecting 30-50k (I could be off on this). Nice settings, beaches, food and rooms.

 

If any one has good info as in places and even in wedding planners to go with would be amazing.

We are from Calgary Canada so any one around that area who has expertise in it would be a bonus also.

Congratulations! I think you have a to of options, not really sure where you are thinking of going unless I missed it in your post? We are doing our wedding in Jamaica and it will be about 1700-1900 per person for an all inclusive including the air fare. If you have particular dj and photographers you want to work with you will need to fly them down as well. However most locations have local people who do these things and you can check out their work and get references as well and may save some cost. Good luck and happy planning! Also very nice of you to post on here to get info for her! I wish my fiancé would take as much interest haha!

@@DarellJ Congrats on your wedding! You will find so much helpful information on these boards it's crazy! I'm in Calgary as well, and have a fantastic travel agent. If you guys are looking for someone to help you out with travel arrangements, help selecting a resort, etc PM me and I'll send you the contact info for the girl I'm using. She's amazing!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
