im considering this.  Im not really happy with my resort and how they are handling my wedding planning.

 

My TA quoted 2 private vans $270 each or private bus $575.

 

Cancun Limo quoted $660 roundtrip

 

Im also waiting of price quotes from the planner at the possible reception location.

Did anyone hire a bus or something to transport guests to their off-resort venue? If so, what was your experience. How was the pricing?

Since we work a lot with off resort locations we have our trusted vendor we work with for transportation, obviously prices matter based on the distance and number of guests.

Hi there! 

 

I am getting married this May in Playa and I am trying to find transportation to and from our venue.  We are getting married off property and then coming back to our resort for the reception.  Our coordinator quoted us a price but it was quite expensive.  I was wondering if you found transportation and if the price was reasonable?

I ended up just staying on the resort. Transportation is pretty expensive down there.  I was looking into off resort stuff to save money so bussing the guests just wouldn't have paid off.

 

For example: I stayed in riveria maya (Azul beach) my hubs and I wanted to go into playa for a day to shop, etc. It was btwn a 20-30 minute ride and would have cost us $80. 

 

I shopped around for quotes and my TA actually had the best price...but even so we decided against it.  Best of luck!

Hope you had a beautiful wedding!  We looked at Azul as well.  My fiancé had a friend get married there and she raved about it!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
