    Hey PV Brides!!

I'm new here - our wedding is not until Oct. 25th 2014, but here I am planning :)

We are going to PV in July for a few days to pretty much see everyone and everything. Before we go over I want a wedding coordinator to pretty much set up the whole trip for us so I can see and do everything I need to in a few days to prepare for next year. I have looked into ChicConcepts (sister to Incredible Vallarta Weddings), My Event by Jen Kasten, MarWeddings, and DazzlingDetails (which is out b/c they are only doing BIG weddings now),

I didn't want to pay for the trip over, coming from Miami is actually pricey to fly there (over $700) but I feel like I need to!

Recommendations on wedding coordinators? and if anyone has gone over there for a "go-see" trip let me know what you did and how your organized that trip.

    Thank you so so much!

      Hey Jenna!

My wedding is this Monday and I love my coordinator.  Her name is Kelley. She used to be the coordinator at Las Caletas. If you look in the old posts for Las Caletas everyone RAVES about her. Very reasonably priced!

      her email is: kelleyweddingsinpv@gmail.com

        Hi Jenna!!

Well my sister just got married 2 weeks ago and the wedding coordinator was amazing. She usually does weddings for hotels and her price is very reasonable, I helped my sister look for endless coorginators online and we loved her style the best.

Her name is Lilian Ojeda: http://www.loeventos.com/.

This is my sister's wedding just to give you and idea: http://estefaniaflor...om/Alexis-Eric/

@JessicaR I actually went with a Chic Concepts for my wedding coordinator. You sisters wedding looks amazing! Where was this location? We're getting married at a villa in PV therefore I'm dealing with a lot of outside vendors, which my WC is taking care of but I am also constantly googling for prices and quotes! Who knew a destination would probably end up being MORE work!!!!!! Thanks again for your response, I love to see beautiful PV weddings!!

@JennaLea I remmember seeing them when I was helping my sister book her wedding coordinator, best desition ever to get a wedding coordinator. The wedding was in Marriot Casamagna, the staff was very helpful and the wedding was absolutely gorgeous!!. Yes destinations weddings are a lot to deal with and since one is not in the area is even harder to try get everything perfect. God bless the internet and wedding coordinators!! It's a GREAT idea to constantly ask for prices, just because you want a full idea of what the real prices are, Best luck in your wedding!!

My sister's videographer and her photographer have a lot of weddings too, that also help trying to indicate to the wedding planner what my sister wanted or even the vendors what she liked from other weddings.

Do you know specifics of your sisters wedding? I know all was done through a wedding coordinator, but right now I am working on my budget, going over what everything will cost with my WC and flowers seem to be a bit crazy. Which they are everywhere I know but mexico should be better, especially since I don't care what type of flower, just the overall color.

Do you know what she got for her flowers? Each table decor? We're getting married under a wooden chuppa. Just including the chuppa and tulle, its $250. I really wanted the ceremony decorated really nice and then use the same decor for the reception, since we're getting married at a villa this will be easy to transport, its literally up the stairs. So I am curious what your sis was quoted/charged because spending like $700 on the ceremony alone is just not in our budget.

thanks so much for your help!

It sounds like the Chuppa and tulle for $250 sounds about avarage, about the flowers why don't you contact yourself a local flowers shop, since is not as specific? Because $450 just for flowers does sound a little ridiculous, does that include chairs and accesories?

My sister contacted this flower shop : http://florartvallar...-de-fotos/bodas I'll ask her how much they charge her for the ceremony only, but I'll doubt it will be more than $450 usd, I guess it also depends on how may chairs. Also, try asking in spanish that might help out too because as soon as you speak english I noticed prices rise. Let me know how that goes! You welcome !

Hey gals- I've been emailing with Mishka from Mishka designs and so far she has been absolutely incredible to deal with. Her response times blew me away, as I assumed I would be waiting weeks for a response- Mishka has responded to every email within hours. She also goes over every little detail so thoroughly...if she is this thorough with gaining insight into a bride's vision I can only imagine how thorough she is with the actual event!
