Photography - Desperately NEED HELP!! URGENT!

Hey Gals,

 

Sooo...in university I was KNOWN as a procrastinator. Well, the procrastinator in me is at it again. I am in need of help and I turn to you!! 

 

My wedding is in TWO WEEKS!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!! LOL :)

 

We're getting married at Melia Caribe Tropical - so excited! Not so excited about the photography and packages. I like more of a natural 'caught you in the moment' candid style pictures...which Arrecife does not really execute all that well.

 

I fell in love with Photo Souvenir - but they are unavailable. They recommended Blue Lagoon Studio...and I do like their photos.

 

I'm looking for advice - Melia charges $1000 to bring outside photographers in - a fee we are willing to pay if we get the right photographer (to me its worth it!). I'm not 100% positive we found the right one (after having fallen in love with Photo Souvenir).

 

Is there anyone out there that knows a photographer that would be available on such short notice, and have the same style I'm looking for?

 

Or, anyone used Blue Lagoon and could tell me about them? What are they like to work with, etc.?

 

Just so you know...I'm not a complete slacker....our original plan was to bring our photographer (a friend from university...but she went and got pregnant on her wedding night, LOL)...so we were then just going to use the hotel's photographers, but I'm just not digging their style! We can only do this once, right? I need to make sure its done right the first time!

Thanks ladies!

 

After scouring this site, I found Caribbean Emotions - has 100% positive feedback. I emailed the guy and 10 minutes later got a response. He phoned us last night to talk about packages, and we're booking him tonight! I seriously lucked out!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
